MASTERION BOROUGH COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Redemption Loan No. 1, 1964, £59,200
PUSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Masterton Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on
a loan of £59,200 authorised to be raised by the Masterton
Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the
purpose of repaying on maturity those portions of the Water-
works and Sewerage Improvement Loan 1953, which mature
on 1 May and 1 December 1964, the said Masterton Borough
Council hereby makes a special rate of point three five (0·35)
pence in the £ upon the rateable value of all rateable property
of the Masterton Borough; and the special rate shall be an
annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be
payable half yearly on the 1st day of May and the 1st day
of November in each and every year during the currency of
the loan, being a period of 10 years, or until the loan is fully
paid off.”
The foregoing resolution was passed at the ordinary
meeting of the Masterton Borough Council held in the
Council Chamber, Chapel Street, Masterton, on Thursday
the 24th day of September 1964.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
The Rotorua City Council Library Bequest Land Purchase
Loan 1964, £25,500
In pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested
in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956,
the Rotorua City Council hereby resolves as follows:
"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on
a loan of twenty-five thousand five hundred pounds (£25,500)
to be known as the Rotorua City Council Library Bequest
Land Purchase Loan 1964, of twenty-five thousand five
hundred pounds (£25,500) authorised to be raised by the
Rotorua City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the
purpose of purchasing land adjacent to the Council's Library
Bequest property, the Rotorua City Council hereby makes a
special rate of decimal nought five seven pence (0·057d.)
in the £ on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved
value) of all rateable property within the City of Rotorua;
and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate
during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the
1st day of April in each and every year during the currency
of such loan, being a period of 30 years, or until the loan
is fully paid off.”
The above resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the
Rotorua City Council held on Tuesday, 22 September 1964.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Reticulation Loan 1964, £38,000
PUSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
King Country Electric Power Board hereby resolves as
follows:
"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on
a loan of £38,000 authorised to be raised by the King Country
Electric Power Board under the above-mentioned Act for
the purpose of reticulating Rangitaiki and the surrounding
area, the King Country Electric Power Board hereby makes a
special rate of decimal four five pence (0·45d.) on the (£)
upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved
value) of all rateable property in the King Country Electric
Power Board District; and that the special rate shall be
an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan
and be payable half-yearly on 2 June and 2 December in
each and every year during the currency of the loan, being
a period of 20 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

HUTT COUNTY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Wainuiomata Roading Loan 1964, £39,000
PUSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Hutt
County Council hereby resolves as follows:
"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges
on a loan of £39,000 authorised to be raised by the Hutt
County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the
upgrading and tar-sealing the Wainuiomata Road and Main
Road, constructing footpaths, kerbing and channelling and
ancillary works in the Wainuiomata Riding, the said Hutt
County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of
decimal 33 of a penny (thirty-three one hundredths of a
penny) in the pound upon the unimproved value of all
rateable property in the Wainuiomata Riding of the County of
Hutt; and that the special rate shall be an annually recurring
rate during the currency of the loan and be payable on the
1st day of April in each and every year during the currency
of the loan, being a period of 23 years, or until the loan is
fully paid off.”

Elderly Persons Housing Loan 1964, £16,000
PUSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Dunedin City Council hereby resolves as follows:
"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on
a loan of £16,000 authorised to be raised by the Dunedin
City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose
of purchasing land and erecting accommodation for aged
persons, the Dunedin City Council hereby makes a special
rate of 0·0096d. in the pound (£) upon the rateable value
of all rateable property in the City of Dunedin, comprising
the whole of the City of Dunedin; and that the special rate
shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the
loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each
and every year during the currency of the loan, being a
period of thirty (30) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of
the resolution passed by the Dunedin City Council on the
above-mentioned date.

the renewal loans detailed in the Schedule hereunder and
which are authorised to be raised by the Dunedin City
Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of
refinancing 4 per cent loans due for repayment at 1 November
1964, the Dunedin City Council hereby makes a special rate
of 0·2372d. in the pound (£) upon the rateable value of all
rateable property in the City of Dunedin, comprising the
whole of the City of Dunedin; and that the special rate shall
be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loans
and be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and
every year during the currency of the loans, being a period
of ten (10) years, or until the loans are fully paid off.”
