BOROUGH OF PUKEKOHE

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Jubilee Olympic Pool Loan 1964, £20,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Pukekohe Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £20,000 authorised to be raised by the Pukekohe Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of providing an Olympic Swimming Pool together with necessary buildings, fencing, and ground development, the said Pukekohe Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of nought decimal one nine seven (0·197) pence in the pound (£) upon the rateable value on the basis of the unimproved value of all rateable property in the Borough of Pukekohe; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable half yearly on the 1st day of March and the 1st day of September in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 20 years, or until the loan is fully paid off."

TAURANGA CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Tauranga Domain Grandstand Loan 1963, £10,000

THE council at its meeting held on 24 August 1964 passed the following resolution:
"That, pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Tauranga City Council hereby resolves as follows:
That, for the purposes of providing the annual charges on the Tauranga Domain Grandstand Loan 1963, £10,000 authorised to be raised by the Tauranga City Council under the above-mentioned Act for erecting a grandstand and pavilion on the Tauranga Domain, the said Tauranga City Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought one nine pence (0·019d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the City of Tauranga; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable on the first day of September in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 20 years, or until the loan is fully paid off."

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Streets Loan 1964 - First Issue £50,000

THAT, pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Tauranga City Council hereby resolves as follows:
"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on the Streets Loan 1964, First Issue £50,000 authorised to be raised by the Tauranga City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of improving streets within the city, the said Tauranga City Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal one nine four pence (0·194d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the City of Tauranga; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 10 years six months, or until the loan is fully paid off."

PIAKO COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Rural Housing Loan

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Piako County Council hereby resolves as follows:
"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £75,000 authorised to be raised by the Piako County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of making advances to farmers under the Rural Housing Act 1939, the said Piako County Council hereby makes a special rate of one-sixth of one penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the County of Piako; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 25 years, or until the loan is fully paid off."
The above resolution was passed at an ordinary meeting of the Piako County Council held in the Administration Building and Council Chambers, 35 Kenrick Street, Te Aroha, on Monday, 21 September 1964.

BOROUGH OF MATAMATA

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Stormwater Improvement Loan 1964, £28,000

THE following resolution was passed at a special meeting of the council held on 21 September 1964, pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Matamata Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £28,000 authorised to be raised by the Matamata Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for storm-water improvements, the said Matamata Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of 0·6668d. in the £ upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Borough of Matamata, comprising the whole of the Borough of Matamata; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of twenty (20) years, or until the loan is fully paid off."

GORE BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Mataura River Flood Protection Loan 1963, £5,700

AT its meeting held on 21 September 1964, the Gore Borough Council passed the following resolution in respect of the first issue of £2,600 of the above loan:
"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £2,600 authorised to be raised by the Gore Borough Council under the Local Authorities Loans Act, the said Gore Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought two nine two pence (0·0292d.) in the pound (£1) upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Borough of Gore; and the said special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable on the 1st days of April and October in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 20 years or until the loan is fully paid off."

LOWER HUTT CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION TO MAKE SPECIAL RATE

Redemption Loan (No. 12) 1964, £31,000

THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Lower Hutt City Council hereby resolves as follows:
"That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of thirty-one thousand pounds (£31,000) authorised to be raised by the Lower Hutt City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of repaying loans maturing on 1 December 1964, 10 and 20 February 1965, and 10 April 1965, the said Lower Hutt City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of two hundred and twenty-seven thousandths of a penny (0·227d.) in the pound (£) on the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value) of all rateable property in the City of Lower Hutt; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be incorporated and added to the Consolidated Special Rate made pursuant to the provisions of section 108A of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954, and be payable yearly on or about the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 15 years, or until such time as the loan is paid off."
I hereby certify that the above resolution was duly passed at the meeting of the Lower Hutt City Council held on 28 September 1964.

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Whangarei City Council at a meeting held on 16 September 1964, passed the following resolution:
"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of forty-five thousand pounds (£45,000) authorised to be raised by the Whangarei City Council for the purpose of constructing a swimming pool and accessory buildings and developing the site, the said Whangarei City Council hereby makes a special rate of 0·1387d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the City of Whangarei; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring
