OTAHUHU BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Streets Reconstruction Loan 1964, £200,000

THAT, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of two hundred thousand pounds (£200,000) authorised to be raised by the Otahuhu Borough Council under the provisions of the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, for the purpose of reconstructing streets in the borough, the cost of engineering and contingencies, and the costs of raising the loan, including brokerage and underwriting fees, the said Otahuhu Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of two decimal four four nought one five two pence (2.440152d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable unimproved value of all rateable property of the rating district comprising the whole of the Borough of Otahuhu; and that the said rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be repayable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of ten (10) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

That, the Otahuhu Borough Council hereby appropriates and pledges the foregoing rate as security for the said loan.

I hereby certify that the foregoing is a true copy of a resolution passed by the Otahuhu Borough Council, and recorded in the minutes of the proceedings of the meeting held on the 17th day of September 1964.

OHINEMURI COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Waihi Beach Roads Reconstruction and Sealing Additional Loan 1964, £9,500

NOTICE is hereby given that at a special meeting of the Ohinemuri County Council held on the 21st day of August 1964, the following resolution was passed pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Ohinemuri County Council hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £9,500 authorised to be raised by the Ohinemuri County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of providing the Council's share of the additional costs of reconstructing and sealing all roads in the Waihi Beach County Town, the said Ohinemuri County Council hereby makes a special rate of 0.55d. in the £ on the rateable unimproved value of all rateable property in the Waihi Beach County Town area; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 14th day of September in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 20 years, or until the loan is fully paid off."

FEILDING BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Housing Redemption Loan 1964, £2,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Feilding Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £2,000 authorised to be raised by the Feilding Borough Council under the provisions of the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 for the purpose of repaying on maturity the Housing Loan 1954, £2,700 which matures on 1 October 1964, the said Feilding Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought three six pence of a penny (0.036d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property of the Borough of Feilding; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 10 years, or until the loan is fully paid off."

Papanui Riding Works Loan 1964, £10,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Waimairi County Council hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £10,000 authorised to be raised by the Waimairi County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of constructing kerbing and channelling and reconstructing and sealing roads, the said Waimairi County Council thereby makes a special rate of 0.08163d. (pence) in the £ (pound) upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Papanui Riding of the County of Waimairi; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each year and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 10 years, or until the loan is fully paid off."

WAIMAIRI COUNTY COUNCIL

SECURITY RATE

Styx Riding Works Loan 1964, £3,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Waimairi County Council hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £3,000 authorised to be raised by the Waimairi County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of reconstructing and sealing roads, the said Waimairi County Council hereby makes a special rate of 0.05426d. (pence) in the £ (pound) upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Styx Riding of the County of Waimairi; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each year and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 10 years, or until the loan is fully paid off."

AUCKLAND REGIONAL AUTHORITY

SPECIAL ORDER

Loan No. 39, 1964, £1,250,000: 1st Issue £250,000

THAT, the Auckland Regional Authority in exercise of the powers vested in it by the Auckland Regional Authority Act 1963, section 43, and the Auckland Metropolitan Drainage Act 1960, and in pursuance of the authority conferred upon it under the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and in exercise of all other powers and authorities enabling it in that behalf, doth hereby resolve by special resolution intended to operate as a special order to borrow the sum of £250,000 as a special loan to be known as Loan No. 39, 1964, £1,250,000: 1st Issue £250,000, for the purpose of meeting costs and expenses and carrying out works incidental to the first and second stages of the Manukau Drainage Scheme and also new works giving service to the Inner Area of the Auckland Metropolitan Drainage District.

The foregoing special order was made by way of a special resolution passed at a special meeting of the Authority held on the 21st day of August 1964. It was publicly notified in the Auckland Star and New Zealand Herald on the 29th day of August and the 12th day of September 1964, and confirmed at the ordinary meeting of the Authority held on the 18th day of September 1964.

The Common Seal of the Auckland Regional Authority was hereto affixed this 18th day of September 1964.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND FOR RIVER PROTECTION WORKS

IN the matter of the Public Works Act 1928, and in the matter of the Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Act 1941, and in the matter of the Waikato Valley Authority Act 1956, notice is hereby given by the Otorohanga Borough Council that it is proposed to take under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928 and the Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Act 1941, the under-mentioned pieces of land for river protection works, and notice is hereby given that a plan showing the said pieces of land is on view and open to inspection at the office of the council at the address set out below during ordinary business hours, and notice is further given that all persons affected by the taking of the said pieces of land for river protection works who have any well grounded objection should set forth the same in writing within 40 days from the first publication of this notice to the Town Clerk, Otorohanga Borough Council, Council Chambers, Maniapoto Street, Otorohanga.

SCHEDULE

Two acres and 17 perches, more or less, being part of the Block situated in Block VIII, Orahiri Survey District, called Orahiri X2, and being all of the land contained in certificate of title, Volume 657, folio 63 (South Auckland Registry).
