NOTE—Any person who intends to appear on the hearing
of the said petition must serve on or send by post, to the
above named, notice in writing of his intention so to do.
The notice must state the name, address, and description of
the person or, if a firm, the name, address, and description of
the firm, and an address for service within 3 miles of the office
of the Supreme Court at Auckland, and must be signed by the
person or firm, or his or their solicitor (if any), and must
be served, or, if posted, must be sent by post in sufficient time
to reach the above-named petitioners' address for service

REDUCTION OF CAPITAL

Notice of Registration of Order and Minute
In the Supreme Court of New Zealand
Wellington District
(Palmerston North Registry)

In the matter of the Companies Act 1955 and in the matter
of the Kakariki Sand and Gravel Co. Ltd., a company duly
incorporated in New Zealand and having its registered office
at Feilding and carrying on business as shingle winners, notice
is hereby given that the order of the Supreme Court of New
Zealand, dated the 24th day of July 1964, confirming the
reduction of capital of the above-named company from
£15,000 to £10,000 and the minute approved by the Court
showing, with respect to the capital of the company as
altered, the several particulars required by the above-
mentioned Act was registered by the Registrar of Companies
on the 31st day of August 1964. The said minute is
in the words and figures following:-

“The capital of the Kakariki Sand and Gravel Co. Ltd.
is £10,000 divided into 10,000 fully paid ordinary shares
of £1 each having been reduced from £15,000 divided into
15,000 ordinary shares of £1 each fully paid.”

WHANGAREI CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Whangarei City Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on
a loan of twenty-two thousand six hundred pounds (£22,600)
authorised to be raised by the Whangarei City Council for
the purpose of erecting accommodation for old people, the
said Whangarei City Council hereby makes a special rate of
0·0582d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rate-
able property in the City of Whangarei; and that the special
rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency
of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of September
in each and every year during the currency of the loan,
being for a period of 25 years, or until the loan is paid off,
and the said council doth hereby appropriate and pledge the
said rate as security for the said loan.”

KAMO TOWN COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Waterworks Loan £30,000

PURSUANT to the provisions of the Local Authorities Loans
Act 1956, the Kamo Town Council hereby resolves:

“That, for the purposes of providing the annual charges
on a loan of £30,000 authorised to be raised by the Kamo
Town Council under the above mentioned Act for the purpose
of constructing a one million gallon reservoir, the said
Kamo Town Council hereby makes a special rate of one
decimal nought one pence (1·01d.) in the pound upon the rate-
able value of all rateable property in the Kamo Town District;
and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate
during the currency of the loan and be payable half-yearly
on the 15th day of March and the 15th day of September
in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being
a period of 25 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

TARANAKI HARBOUR BOARD

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Redemption Loan No. 1, 1964, £189,400

“THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it
by the Harbours Act 1950 and the Local Authorities Loans
Act 1956, and of all other powers and authorities it there-
unto enabling, the Taranaki Harbour Board hereby resolves:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges
payable in respect of the Taranaki Harbour Board Redemp-
tion Loan No. 1, 1964, of £189,400 authorised to be raised
by the board by the terms of sanction made by the Local
Authorities Loans Board on the 24th day of March 1964,
with the precedent consent of the Governor-General in
Council, pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956,
published in the Gazette, of the 23rd April 1964, No. 24, at
page 697, the board hereby makes and levies a special rate
of one penny in the pound upon the capital value of all
rateable property in the area described in the Third Schedule
to the New Plymouth Harbour Board Empowering Act 1951,
two thirds of a penny in the pound upon the capital value of
all rateable property described in the Fourth Schedule to the
New Plymouth Harbour Board Empowering Act 1951, and
one third of a penny in the pound upon the capital value of
all rateable property in the area described in the Fifth
Schedule to the New Plymouth Harbour Board Empowering
Act 1951, as amended by sections 6, 7, and 8 of the Taranaki
Harbour Board Act 1954; and that such special rate shall be
an annually recurring rate during the currency of the said
loan and until the said loan is fully paid off.”

MALVERN COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Rural Housing Loan 1964, £12,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Malvern County Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on
a loan of £12,000 to be known as the Rural Housing Loan
1964 and authorised to be raised by the Malvern County
Council under the above-mentioned Act for making advances
to farmers under the provisions of the Rural Housing Act
1939, the said Malvern County Council hereby makes a
special rate of decimal nought two one (0·021) pence in
the pound upon the rateable capital value of all rateable
property of the whole of the County of Malvern; and that
the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the
currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day
of April in each and every year during the currency of the
loan, being a period of up to 35 years, or until the loan is
fully paid off.”

FLAXBORNE RABBIT BOARD

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Flax-
bourne Rabbit Board hereby resolves as follows:-

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charge on a
loan of £2,000 authorised to be raised by the Flaxbourne
Rabbit Board under the above-mentioned Act for housing,
the said Flaxbourne Rabbit Board hereby makes a special
rate of 0·4375 pence (1/6d.) per acre on 100,347 acres being
the rateable property of the Flaxbourne Rabbit Board district;
and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate
during the currency of the loan and shall be payable annually
on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the
currency of such loan, for a period of 20 years, or until the
loan is fully paid off.”
