HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby consents to the borrowing by the local authorities mentioned in the Schedule hereto by way of loan of the whole or any part of the respective amounts specified in that Schedule.

Amending a Licence Authorising the Tourist Hotel Corporation of New Zealand to Use Water for the Purpose of Generating Electricity and to Erect and Use Certain Electric Lines in Milford Sound

At the Government House at Wellington this 9th day of September 1964

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby amends the Order in Council dated the 10th day of July 1957, and published in the Gazette on the 18th day of the same month at page 1323, authorising the Tourist Hotel Corporation of New Zealand to use water for the purpose of generating electricity and to erect and use certain electric lines by deleting paragraph (d) of the General Description of Works and substituting therefor:

“(d) Electric lines leading from the said powerhouse as follows:
(i) In a north-westerly direction generally across Fresh Water Basin to wharf installations as more particularly shown by the red line on the plan marked N.Z.E.D. 641 deposited in the office of the New Zealand Electricity Department at Wellington.
(ii) In a south-westerly direction across Fresh Water Basin to a substation adjacent to the hostel premises, and thence generally south-easterly to a Ministry of Works depot and an Automobile Association tourist hostel.”

The Waimea Electric Power District Boundary Order 1964

ORDER IN COUNCIL

At the Government House at Wellington this 9th day of September 1964

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to section 5A of the Electric Power Boards Act 1925 (as inserted by section 3 of the Electric Power Boards Amendment Act 1963), His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.

ORDER

  1. This order may be cited as the Waimea Electric Power District Boundary Order 1964.

  2. The boundaries of the Waimea Electric Power District are hereby altered so as to include therein the area described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

ALL that area situated in the Nelson Land District, Inangahua County, bounded by a line commencing at a point being the intersection of the common boundary of Blocks I and II, Burnett Survey District, and the common boundary of the Inangahua and Murchison Counties; thence proceeding generally in a south-easterly direction along the boundary of those counties to a point being the north-eastern corner of Block IV, Rahu Survey District; thence southerly along the eastern boundary of Rahu Survey District to its junction with the north-eastern corner of Block IV, Lewis Survey District; thence easterly and southerly along the northern and eastern boundaries of Block I and the eastern boundary of Block IV, Travers Survey District, to a point on the common boundary of the Inangahua and Grey Counties, being also the south-eastern corner of the latter Block; thence generally north-westerly along that common boundary to a point being the intersection of that common boundary with the western boundary of Block II, Lewis Survey District; thence northerly along the western boundaries of Block II, Lewis Survey District, and Blocks XIV, X, VI and II, Rahu Survey District, and Blocks XIV, X, VI and II, Burnett Survey District, to the point of commencement, as shown outlined in red on the plan marked N.Z.E.D. 642 deposited in the office of the New Zealand Electricity Department at Wellington.
