A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to section 29 of the Public Works Amendment Act 1948, I, Brigadier Sir Bernard Edward Fergusson, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim as closed the road described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

OTAGO LAND DISTRICT

ALL that piece of land containing 28 acres 2 roods situated in Blocks VII, VIII, IX, and X, Hummock Survey District, adjoining or passing through part Runs 171A and 171B; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked M.O.W. 18695 (S.O. 13497) deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured green.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 12th day of August 1964.

PURSUANT to subsection (6) of section 29 of the Public Works Amendment Act 1948, I, Brigadier Sir Bernard Edward Fergusson, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby take the land described in the Schedule hereto and also revoke the Proclamation dated the 5th day of May 1964 and published in Gazette, 21 May 1964, No. 30, page 835, in so far as it affects the land first described in the Third Schedule of the said Proclamation.

ALL that piece of land containing 1 rood 33·1 perches situated in Block VIII, Waimata Survey District, Cook County, Gisborne R.D., and being part Section 70A, Ormond Rural; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked M.O.W. 18407 (S.O. 5326) deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon edged orange.

Amending the Constitution of the Berwick Rural Fire District

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to the Forest and Rural Fires Act 1955, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby make the following order:

The Order in Council dated the 10th day of November 1948, and published in the Gazette, 18 November 1948, Vol. III, page 1396, is hereby amended by omitting the Schedule to that Order in Council, and substituting the Schedule set out in the Schedule to this Order in Council.

SCHEDULE

OTAGO LAND DISTRICT—SOUTHLAND CONSERVANCY

Berwick Rural Fire District

ALL that area in the Otago Land District, Bruce County, containing approximately 23,000 acres, situated in Waipori, Maungatua, Table Hill, Clarendon, and Waihola Survey Districts and bounded generally as follows: Commencing at the north-western corner of Section 25, Block X, Clarendon Survey District, and proceeding in a northerly direction along the eastern boundary of Section 33, Block VI, Table Hill Survey District, to Trig. E and along the eastern boundary of Section 4, Block X, Table Hill Survey District to its north-eastern corner; thence westerly along the northern boundary of Section 4, aforesaid, thence northerly along the eastern boundary of Section 2, Block X, Table Hill Survey District, to its junction with a public road; thence generally north-westerly, northerly, and north-easterly by the southern, western, and northern sides of a public road to a point on the boundary between Blocks IX and X, Waipori Survey District, approximately 96 chains south of Trig. K being the north side of a public road; thence north-easterly by a right line to Trig. J; thence easterly by a right line to Trig. G; thence north-easterly by a right line to the south-western corner of Section 11, Block X, Waipori Survey District, and along the western boundary of the aforesaid Section 11 to the south bank of the Waipori River; thence generally easterly and southerly along the right bank of the Waipori River to a point in line with the north-western boundary of Section 2 of 20, Block II, Maungatua Survey District; thence generally south-westerly across the river bank reserve and along the eastern side of a public road to the north-western corner of Section 33, Block VII, Clarendon Survey District; thence south-easterly by the south-western boundary of the aforesaid Section 33 to the shore of Waipori Lake; thence generally south-westerly along the shore of Waipori Lake to a point opposite the north-eastern corner of Section 6, Block XVI, Waihola Survey District; thence by a right line to the north-eastern corner of Section 6, Block XVI, aforesaid, thence north-westerly along the north-eastern boundary of the last-mentioned Section 6 to its north-eastern corner; thence south-westerly by a right line across the Clarendon-Berwick Road to the north-eastern corner of Section 9, Block XVII, Waihola Survey District; thence north-westerly along the north-eastern boundary of Section 9, aforesaid; thence south-westerly along the north-western
