WHAKATANE COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Te Teko Water Supply Loan 1963, £14,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Whakatane County Council hereby resolved as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £14,000 authorised to be raised by the Whakatane County Council under the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 for the purpose of providing water reticulation for the Township of Te Teko, for which a special roll was prepared, the said Whakatane County Council hereby makes a special rate of one shilling and threepence (1s. 3d.) in the £ upon the rateable value of all rateable properties of the Te Teko Township area; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 35 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

The above resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Whakatane County Council on Wednesday, 26 August 1964.

WAIPUKURAU BOROUGH COUNCIL

NOTICE OF RESULT OF POLL ON LOAN PROPOSAL

PURSUANT to section 13 (2) of the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, notice is hereby given that a poll of the ratepayers of the Borough of Waipukurau taken on 25 July 1964, on the proposal of the Waipukurau Borough Council to raise a loan of £11,000 to be known as the Waipukurau Borough Library and Conveniences Loan 1963 for the purpose of purchasing land, and building, altering, furnishing, and equipping the building for the Waipukurau and District Centennial Memorial Library £8,500, and erecting public conveniences £2,500, resulted as follows:

The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 269
The number of votes recorded against the proposal was 250
The number of informal votes was .... .... .... 7

I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

OAMARU BOROUGH COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

IN the matter of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954 and in the matter of the Public Works Act 1928 and its amendments, notice is hereby given that the Oamaru Borough Council proposes under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts to execute a certain public work, namely, the widening of the public streets known as Derwent and Ouse Streets and for the purposes of such public work the parcel of land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken for street, and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Oamaru Borough Council, situate in Thames Street, and is open for inspection, without fee, by all persons during ordinary office hours.

All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of such land who have any well grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said land must state their objections in writing and send the same within 40 days from the first publication of this notice, namely the 25th day of August 1964, to the Town Clerk at the Council Chambers, Thames Street, Oamaru.

MANGONUI COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

IN the matter of the Counties Act 1956 and the Public Works Act 1928, notice is hereby given that the Mangonui County Council proposes under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts to execute certain public works, namely the provision of a public sports ground and a public road and for the purposes of such public works the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken, and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the lands so required to be taken is deposited at the County Office, Kaitaia, and is open for inspection, without fee, by all persons during ordinary office hours.

All persons affected by the execution of the said public works or by the taking of such lands who have any well grounded objections to the execution of the said public works or to the taking of the said lands, not being an objection to the amount or payment of compensation, must state their objections in writing and send the same within forty (40) days from the first publication of this notice to the Mangonui County Council, whose office is at Commerce Street, Kaitaia.

  2. Land Required for Road—Eight perches, more or less, being part land on D.P. 978, Block IV, Mangonui Survey District, as shown coloured yellow on Survey Office Plan 44491, and being part of the land contained in certificate of title, Volume 499, folio 9, Auckland Registry.

NOTE—The present Taipa Football Ground is part of the above land.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

IN the matter of the Public Works Act 1928, public notice is hereby given that the Raglan County Council proposes, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to take for road the portions of land described in the First Schedule hereto, to take for the use, convenience, and enjoyment of a road the portion of land described in the Second Schedule hereto, and to stop the portions of road described in the Third Schedule hereto. A plan of the portions of land proposed to be taken and of the portions of road proposed to be stopped is open for public inspection at the office of the Raglan County Council, Great South Road, Ngaruawahia, during 40 days from the date of the first publication of this notice. All persons objecting to the proposal must lodge their objections in writing at the office of the Council on or before the 2nd day of October 1964.
