MANUKAU COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Sanitary Conveniences and Dressing Sheds Loan 1964, £35,000
THAT, pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Manukau County Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purposes of providing the annual charges on a loan of £35,000 authorised to be raised by the Manukau County Council under the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 for the purpose of erecting sanitary conveniences and dressing sheds within the County, the said Manukau County Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought three one two five pence (0·03125d.) in the pound upon the rateable unimproved value of all rateable property of the County of Manukau; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 30 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I, Ronald Wood, County Clerk of the Manukau County Council, hereby certify that the above resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Manukau County Council held on 25 August 1964.

MANUKAU COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Rural Housing Loan 1964, £20,000
THAT, pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Manukau County Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purposes of providing the annual charges on a loan of £20,000 authorised to be raised by the Manukau County Council under the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 for the purpose of making advances to farmers in terms of the Rural Housing Act 1939, the said Manukau County Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought one eight pence (0·018d.) in the pound upon the rateable unimproved value of all rateable property of the County of Manukau; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of twenty years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I, Ronald Wood, County Clerk of the Manukau County Council, hereby certify that the above resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Manukau County Council held on 25 August 1964.

POVERTY BAY ELECTRIC POWER BOARD

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Poverty Bay Electric Power Board hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of two hundred and fifty thousand pounds (£250,000) authorised to be raised by the Poverty Bay Electric Power Board under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of extending, improving, adding to, and reinforcing the reticulation in the constituent districts of the Cook County (including the Patutahi Town District), the Waikohu County, the Waiapu County, and the City of Gisborne, and for purchasing equipment, plant, tools, instruments, motor vehicles, land, and the construction of buildings, the Poverty Bay Electric Power Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of four forty-fifths of a penny (4/45d.) in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in that portion of the Poverty Bay Electric Power District as is contained in the constituent districts of the Cook County (including the Patutahi Town District), the Waikohu County, the Waiapu County, and the City of Gisborne; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five (25) years, or until the loan is duly paid up.”

OTAMATEA COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Counties Act 1956, the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, and the amendments thereto, the Otamatea County Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £10,000 authorised to be raised by the Otamatea County Council under the above-mentioned Acts for the purposes of purchasing or erecting housing for staff, the said Otamatea County Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought nine pence (0·09d.) in the pound upon the rateable (unimproved) value of all rateable property in the County of Otamatea; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 25 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

This resolution was passed at a meeting of the Otamatea County Council held on Wednesday, 19 August 1964.

TAUMARUNUI BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Municipal Building Loan 1964
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Taumarunui Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £30,000 authorised to be raised by the Taumarunui Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of erecting new Municipal Chambers, providing furnishings, and landscaping the area, the Taumarunui Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of point four seven three pence (0·473d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Borough of Taumarunui; and that the special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 35 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of a resolution passed by the Taumarunui Borough Council at a meeting held on Monday, 24 August 1964.

UPPER HUTT BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Sewerage and Stormwater Drainage (No. 1) Amalgamated Renewal Loan 1964, of £10,000
“THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Upper Hutt Borough Council for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £10,000 authorised to be raised by the Upper Hutt Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of repaying on maturity that portion of the Sewerage and Stormwater Drainage Loans Amalgamated Loan 1954, which matures on 1 November 1964, the said Upper Hutt Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of forty-five thousandths of a penny in the pound (0·045d. in the £) on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Borough of Upper Hutt; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year until the loan is fully repaid.”

The foregoing resolution was passed at the ordinary meeting of the Upper Hutt Borough Council, held in the Council Chambers, Main Road, Upper Hutt, on Tuesday the 25th day of August 1964.
