WAIPUKURAU BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Waipukurau Borough Library and Conveniences Loan 1963,
£11,000

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Waipukurau Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the principal and
interest on the Waipukurau Borough Library and Con-
veniences Loan 1963, £11,000 authorised to be raised by the
Waipukurau Borough Council for the purpose of purchasing
land, and building, altering, furnishing, and equipping the
building for the Waipukurau and District Centennial Memorial
Library and erecting public conveniences, the said Waipukurau
Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of
decimal three nought pence (0·30d.) in the pound on all
rateable property in the Borough of Waipukurau (on the
basis of the unimproved value); such special rate to be an
annually recurring rate for a term of 25 years or until the
loan is fully repaid.”

We hereby certify the above to be a true and correct copy
of a resolution passed by the Waipukurau Borough Council
on the 18th day of August 1964.

RANGIORA BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Pensioners’ Flats Loan 1964, £10,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Rangiora Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of paying the annual charges on
a loan of £10,000 being the Pensioners’ Flats Loan 1964 of
£10,000 authorised to be raised by the Rangiora Borough
Council under the above Act for the purpose of erecting
Pensioners’ Flats, the Rangiora Borough Council hereby makes
a special rate of decimal one two four pence (0·124d.) in
the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property
in the whole of the Borough of Rangiora; and that such special
rate be an annually occurring rate during the currency of the
loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each
and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period
of thirty (30) years, or until the loan is paid off.”

WAIRARAPA CATCHMENT BOARD

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Whareama Staff Housing Loan 1964, £4,850

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the
Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Act 1941, the Local
Authorities Loans Act 1956, and every other power in that
behalf enabling it, the Wairarapa Catchment Board hereby
resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on
a loan of £4,850 known as the Whareama Staff Housing Loan
1964, of £4,850 authorised to be raised for the purpose of
purchasing land at Tinui and erecting houses thereon and
transporting one house for erection thereon, the Wairarapa
Catchment Board doth hereby make and levy a special rate of

0·1716d. in the pound on Class A land,
0·0660d. in the pound on Class B land,
0·0462d. in the pound on Class C land,
0·0396d. in the pound on Class D land,
0·0330d. in the pound on Class E land,
0·0264d. in the pound on Class F land,

on the rateable capital value of all rateable property in the
Whareama Catchment Rating District in accordance with the
special rating classification roll and plan deposited in the
office of the Board and adopted on 27 May 1957; and it is
hereby further resolved that the special rate shall be an
annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan
and shall be payable on the 1st day of April in each and
every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of
25 years, or until the loan is fully paid off, and the special
rate be, and the same is hereby appropriated and pledged as
security for the repayment of the said loan and for payment
of interest thereon.”

The above resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the
Wairarapa Catchment Board held on the 25th day of August
1964.

TEMUKA BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Temuka Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a
loan of £13,000 authorised to be raised by the Temuka
Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the
purpose of constructing a reservoir, the Temuka Borough
Council hereby makes a special rate of one and fifty-six
hundredths of a penny (1·56d.) in the pound upon the
rateable value of all the rateable property within the Borough
of Temuka; and that the special rate should be an annual-
recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable
yearly each and every year during the currency of the loan
being a period of 30 years or until the loan is fully paid off.”

KAMO TOWN COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Waterworks Loan 1964, £30,000

“THAT, in pursuance of the powers conferred by the Local
Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Municipal Corporations Act
1954, and all other powers and authorities thereunto enabling
it, the Kamo Town Council doth hereby, by way of special
order, resolve to raise a loan to be known as the “Waterworks
Loan 1964, £30,000” the said loan to be secured by way
of a special loan rate of 1·01 pence in the pound on the
unimproved value of all rateable property in the Kamo
Town District, for the purpose of constructing a million
gallon reservoir and ancillary works, and doth hereby deter-
mine as follows:

  1. The term for which the said loan or any part thereof
    may be borrowed shall be 25 years.

  2. The rate of interest that may be paid in respect of the
    said loan or any part thereof shall be such as shall not
    produce to the lender or lenders a rate or rates exceeding
    five and one-quarter per cent per annum.

  3. The said loan or any part thereof, together with interest
    thereon, shall be repaid by equal aggregate annual or half-
    yearly instalments extending over the term as determined
    in clause 1 hereof.

  4. The payment of all instalments shall be made in New
    Zealand and no such instalment shall be paid out of loan
    money.

  5. The rate payable for brokerage in respect of the rais-
    ing of the said loan or any part thereof shall not exceed
    one-half per cent of any amount raised.

  6. No money shall be borrowed under this sanction after
    the expiration of three years from the date hereof.

  7. That detailed plans and specifications be approved by
    the District Commissioner of Works, Auckland, before any
    contract is let or work commences.”
