Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Harbours Act 1950, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, and with the consent of the licensees, hereby revokes the Order in Council of the 4th day of April 1955, licensing Albert H. Bowman, Albert F. Chaney, Mervyn J. George, Malcolm E. Niccol, and Alfred L. Lee to use and occupy a part of the foreshore at Mercury Bay, Whitianga Harbour, as a site for a wharf.

The Tauranga City Council and the Tauranga Electric Power Board Water Power and Electric Lines Licence 1963, Amendment No. 1

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby amends the order in Council, dated the 20th day of December 1963 and published in the Gazette, on the 6th day of February 1964, at page 141, authorising the Tauranga City Council and the Tauranga Electric Power Board to use water for the purpose of generating electricity and to erect and use certain electric lines by deleting the words “six months” in clause 10 thereof and substituting therefor the words “18 months”.

The Wairarapa Electric Power District Boundary Order 1964

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 5A of the Electric Power Boards Act 1925 (as inserted by section 3 of the Electric Power Boards Amendment Act 1963), His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council hereby makes the following order.

ORDER

  1. This order may be cited as the Wairarapa Electric Power District Boundary Order 1964.
  2. The boundaries of the Wairarapa Electric Power District are hereby altered so as to include therein the areas described in the Schedules hereto.

FIRST SCHEDULE
ALL that area in the County of Wairarapa South bounded by a line commencing at a point on the summit of the Tararua Range due west of the source of the Hector River in Block I, Eritonga Survey District, being a point on the boundary of the Featherston County as described in N.Z. Gazette 1957, page 1528, and proceeding generally north-easterly and southerly along that boundary to a point in line with the northern boundary of section 5, Block IV, Waiohine Survey District; thence easterly to the north-western corner of the said Section 5, being a point on the boundary of the area added to the Wairarapa Electric Power District as described in N.Z. Gazette 1961, page 248; thence generally north-easterly along that boundary to the intersection of the eastern boundary of Section 361, Taratahi District, and the western side of a public road in Block III, Tiffin Survey District, being a point on the boundary of the Wairarapa Electric Power District as described in N.Z. Gazette 1958, page 653; thence generally north-westerly along that boundary to the summit of the Tararua Range; thence generally southerly along that summit to the point of commencement. As the said area is shown on the plan marked N.Z.E.D. 645 deposited in the office of the New Zealand Electricity Department at Wellington, and thereon outlined in blue.

SECOND SCHEDULE
ALL that area in the County of Featherston bounded by a line commencing at a point on the summit of the Tararua Range due west of the source of the Hector River in Block I, Eritonga Survey District, being a point on the boundary of the Featherston County as described in N.Z. Gazette 1957, page 1528, and proceeding generally north easterly and southerly along that boundary to a point in line with the northern boundary of Section 5, Block IV, Waiohine Survey District; thence easterly to the north-western corner of that section, being a point on the boundary of the area added to the Wairarapa Electric Power District as described in N.Z. Gazette 1961, page 248; thence generally south-westerly along that boundary to the southernmost corner of Section 520, Town of Featherston, in Block VIII, Waiohine Survey District, being a point on the boundary of the Wairarapa Electric Power District as described in N.Z. Gazette 1958, page 653; thence generally south-westerly along that boundary to the sea coast; thence generally south-westerly along the sea coast to Turakirae Head; thence generally north-easterly along a right line to Trig. Station AA (Waimarara) and along the summit of the Rimutaka and Tararua Ranges to the point of commencement. As the said area is shown on the plan marked N.Z.E.D. 646 deposited in the office of the New Zealand Electricity Department at Wellington, and thereon outlined in blue.

THIRD SCHEDULE
ALL that area in the County of Featherston bounded by a line commencing at a point on the sea coast in line with the northern boundary of part Te Kopi 2 3c 1, in Block XIII, Haurangi Survey District, being a point on the boundary of the Wairarapa Electric Power District as described in N.Z. Gazette 1958, pages 653 and 654, and proceeding generally easterly along that boundary to the north-western corner of Section 25, Block IV, Kaiwaka Survey District, being a point on the boundary of the area added to the said district, as described in N.Z. Gazette 1958, page 1383; thence generally southerly along that boundary to the sea coast; thence generally westerly and northerly along the sea coast to the point of commencement. As the said area is shown on the plan marked N.Z.E.D. 647 deposited in the office of the New Zealand Electricity Department at Wellington, and thereon outlined in blue.

Wellington High School Board of Managers Order 1964

ORDER IN COUNCIL

Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 113 of the Education Act 1914, as amended by section 11 of the Education Amendment Act 1952, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.

ORDER

  1. (1) This order may be cited as the Wellington High School Board of Managers Order 1964.
    (2) This order shall come into force on the 1st day of September 1964.
  2. The constitution of the Board of Managers of the school formerly known as the Wellington Technical College and now known as the Wellington High School, prescribed by section 113 of the Education Act 1914, is hereby varied so that the school shall be controlled by a Board of Managers constituted as follows:
    (a) One member appointed by the Wellington Education Board:
    (b) Five members elected by the parents of the pupils attending the school:
    (c) One member appointed by the Wellington City Council:
    (d) One member appointed by the Council of the Victoria University of Wellington.
    (e) One member appointed by the associations of employers in local industries:
    (f) One member appointed by the associations of employees in local industries:
    (g) One member to be co-opted by the Board of Managers itself, if and when it thinks fit.
