Wellington Polytechnic Board of Managers Order 1964

ORDER IN COUNCIL

At the Government House at Wellington this 26th day of August 1964

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to section 4 of the Education Amendment Act 1963, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.

ORDER

  1. (1) This order may be cited as the Wellington Polytechnic Board of Managers Order 1964.
    (2) This order shall come into force on the 1st day of September 1964.

  2. The Board of Managers for the Wellington Polytechnic shall be constituted as follows:
    (a) One member appointed by the Wellington City Council:
    (b) One member appointed by the Council of the Victoria University of Wellington:
    (c) One member appointed by the Wellington Branch of the New Zealand Association of Scientists:
    (d) One member appointed by the Wellington Branch of the New Zealand Institute of Architects:
    (e) One member appointed by the Wellington Branch of the New Zealand Institution of Engineers:
    (f) One member appointed by the Wellington Branch of the New Zealand Society of Accountants:
    (g) One member elected by the members of the governing bodies of Heretaunga College, Hutt Valley High School, Hutt Valley Memorial Technical College, Kapiti College, Mana College, Naenae College, Onslow College, Rongotai College, Taita College, Tawa College, Upper Hutt College, Wainuiomata College, Waiwhetu Girls’ College, Wellington College, Wellington East Girls’ College, Wellington Girls’ College, and Wellington High School:
    (h) Three members appointed by the associations of employees in local industries:
    (i) Three members appointed by the associations of employers in local industries:
    (j) Four members to be co-opted by the Board of Managers itself, if and when it thinks fit:
    (k) One member, who shall be a woman, to be appointed by the Board of Managers at any time while there is no other woman member of the Board.

  3. The Minister of Education may, from time to time, by notice in the Gazette, amend the list of schools to which paragraph (g) of clause 2 of this order applies.

Adding Land to Abel Tasman National Park

ORDER IN COUNCIL

At the Government House at Wellington this 26th day of August 1964

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to section 10 of the National Parks Act 1952, His Excellency the Governor-General of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby declares that the land described in the First and Second Schedules hereto shall, as from the date hereof, be added to and form part of the Abel Tasman National Park and shall hereafter be managed, administered, and dealt with by the Abel Tasman National Park Board in accordance with the provisions of the said Act.

FIRST SCHEDULE

NELSON LAND DISTRICT

Provisional State Forest Land Added to Abel Tasman National Park

SECTION 14, Block VIII, Takaka Survey District: Area, 395 acres, more or less (S.O. Plan 7548).

SECOND SCHEDULE

NELSON LAND DISTRICT

Crown Land Added to Abel Tasman National Park

SECTION 3, Block IV, Kaiteriteri Survey District: Area, 301 acres, more or less (S.O. Plan 6016).

PURSUANT to section 149 of the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby consents to the Taieri County Council stopping the portions of road described in the Schedule hereto.

ALL those pieces of road situated in Otago R.D., described as follows:

A. R. P. Adjoining or passing through

As the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked M.O.W. 18691 (S.O. 13319) deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured green.

Directing the Revision of District Valuation Rolls

PURSUANT to the Valuation of Land Act 1951, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby directs that the District Valuation Rolls for the districts enumerated in the Schedule hereto shall be revised by the Valuer-General as at 1 September 1964.

SCHEDULE

Boroughs—Lawrence, Mount Maunganui, Mataura, Newmarket, Otahuhu, Roxburgh, St. Kilda, Tapanui.
Counties—Clifton, Mackenzie, Malvern.
Road District—Croisilles - French Pass.
Town District—Wyndham.

PURSUANT to section 15 of the Royal New Zealand Air Force Act 1950, His Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to approve the following appointments, extension of appointment, promotions, extensions, termination, and cancellation of commissions, and resignation of officers of the Royal New Zealand Air Force.

Promotion

Flight Lieutenant Geoffrey Charles Hubbard (774712) to be Squadron Leader, with effect from 17 August 1964.

Extension of Appointment

The appointment of Flight Lieutenant William Henry Willis (131865) to the rank of Acting Squadron Leader is extended for a period of three months, with effect from 23 July 1964.

Resignation

Wing Commander Geoffrey Reid Burton Highe, D.F.C., A.F.C., j.s.s.c., p.s.c. (70133) resigns his commission, with effect from 4 August 1964.

Cancellation of Commission

The commission of Acting Pilot Officer Peter David Lloyd (81455) is cancelled, with effect from 18 August 1964.
