TAIERI COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Middlemarch County Town Drainage Supplementary Loan 1964, of £2,400

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Taieri County Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £2,400 authorised to be raised by the Taieri County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of completing the purpose for which the Middlemarch County Town Drainage Loan 1963, of £24,000 was raised, the said Taieri County Council hereby makes a special rate of 3·3413 pence in the pound (£) upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Middlemarch County Town, comprising the whole of the Middlemarch County Town; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of September in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 30 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of the resolution passed by the Taieri County Council on the above-mentioned date.

Fairfield County Town Water Supply Loan 1964, of £47,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Taieri County Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £47,000 authorised to be raised by the Taieri County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of providing a water supply for the Fairfield County Town, the said Taieri County Council hereby makes a special rate of 5·3096 pence in the pound (£) upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Fairfield County Town, comprising the whole of the Fairfield County Town; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of September in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 30 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

Waldronville County Town Water Supply Loan 1964, of £34,500

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Taieri County Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £34,500 authorised to be raised by the Taieri County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of providing a water supply for the Waldronville County Town, the said Taieri County Council hereby makes a special rate of 13·9120 pence in the pound (£) upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Waldronville County Town, comprising the whole of the Waldronville County Town; and the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of September in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 30 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

LOWER HUTT CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION TO MAKE SPECIAL RATE

Maungaraki Development Loan (No. 5) 1964, £45,000

THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Lower Hutt City Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of forty-five thousand pounds (£45,000), authorised to be raised by the Lower Hutt City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of developing land for housing at Maungaraki, the said Lower Hutt City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of nine hundred and eighty-three thousandths of a penny (0·983d.) in the pound (£) on the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value) of all rateable property in the City of Lower Hutt; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be incorporated and added to the consolidated special rate made pursuant to the provisions of section 108A of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954, and be payable yearly on or about the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 3 years, or until such time as the loan is paid off.”

I hereby certify that the above resolution was duly passed at the meeting of the Lower Hutt City Council held on 27 July 1964.

BOROUGH OF BLUFF

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Bluff Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £8,600 authorised to be raised by Bluff Borough Council under the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 for payment of the final instalment of the loan known as the Waterworks Reticulation Loan 1953, hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought seven pence (0·07d.) in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Borough of Bluff comprising the whole of the Borough of Bluff; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 15 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

HAWKE’S BAY COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF RESULT OF POLL ON LOAN PROPOSAL

PURSUANT to section 38 of the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, notice is hereby given that a poll of the ratepayers of the Bay View Water Supply District taken on the 1st day of August 1964, on the proposal of the above-named local authority to raise a loan of £29,000 to be known as the Bay View Water Supply Loan for the purpose of providing a Water Supply for the Bay View District resulted as follows:

The number of votes recorded for the proposal was .... 197
The number of votes recorded against the proposal was 45
The number of informal votes was .... .... .... 1

I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

WARKWORTH TOWN COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

IN the matter of the Public Works Act 1928, notice is hereby given that the Warkworth Town Council proposes under the provisions of the above-mentioned Act to execute a certain public work, namely, street realignment in the Town District of Warkworth and for the purpose of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken, and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Town Clerk at the Council Chambers, Warkworth, and it is open for public inspection, without fee, by all persons during ordinary office hours.

Every person affected who wishes to make any objection to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said land (not being an objection to the amount or payment of compensation) must state his objection in writing and send the same within 40 days from the first publication of this notice to the Town Clerk, Council Chambers, Warkworth.
