RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
—
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Oamaru Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purposes of providing the annual charges on a loan of £20,000, authorised to be raised by the Oamaru Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for water extension, the said Oamaru Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of 0·216 pence in the £ upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Borough of Oamaru comprising the whole of the Borough; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan, being a period of twenty (20) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of the resolution passed at a meeting of the Oamaru Borough Council held on Monday, 22 June 1964.

DECLARATION OF POLL ON PROPOSAL TO RAISE A SPECIAL LOAN OF £20,000

PURSUANT to section 13 (2) and section 38 of the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, I hereby give notice that a poll of ratepayers of the Borough of Pukekohe, taken on the 25th day of July 1964, on the proposal of the above-named local authority to raise a loan of £20,000, to be known as the Jubilee Olympic Pool Loan 1964, £20,000, for the purpose of providing a swimming pool together with necessary buildings, fencing, and ground development resulted as follows:
The number of votes recorded for the proposal was ..... 461
The number of votes recorded against the proposal was 149
The number of informal votes was ..... ..... ..... 3
I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND
—
NOTICE is hereby given that the Hawke’s Bay Catchment Board proposes to execute a certain public work, namely to control the flow of water in the Waipawa River from the junction of that river and the Manga-o-nuku River fronting the properties of Messrs Cullinane and Bowden, for a distance of approximately 4½ miles upstream to a point fronting the properties of Messrs D. Catley and T. H. May, and for the purposes of such public work the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken, and notice is hereby further given that the plans of the lands so required to be taken are deposited in the Public Office of the Clerk to the Waipawa County Council, in Waipawa, and are open for inspection, without fee, by all persons during ordinary office hours.
All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of such lands who have any objections, not being an objection to the amount or payment of compensation, to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said lands must state their objections in writing and send the same within 40 days from the first publication of this notice to the Secretary to the Hawke’s Bay Catchment Board, Browning Street, Napier.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

IN the matter of the Public Works Act 1928 and in the matter of the Counties Act 1956, notice is hereby given that the Hutt County Council, a local authority within the meaning of the Public Works Act 1928, proposes under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts to execute a public work, namely the widening of Wainuiomata Road in the Hutt County and for the purpose of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken for public road and in connection with public road, and notice is hereby given that a plan of the land so required to be taken marked Survey Office Plan 25808, is deposited in the office of the Council, Bowen House, Bowen Street, Wellington, and is there open for inspection by all persons, without fee, during ordinary office hours. All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said lands who have any well-grounded objection to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said lands must state their objections in writing and send the same within 40 days from the first publication of this notice to the Town Clerk at the above address.
