IN the matter of the Companies Act 1955 and in the matter of Jones and McDowell Ltd. (in receivership), notice is hereby given that by a duly signed entry in the minute book of the above-named company on the 3rd day of August 1964, the following extraordinary resolution was passed by the company, namely:
“That the company cannot by reason of its liabilities continue its business and that it is advisable to wind up, and that accordingly the company be wound up voluntarily.”

(in receivership), notice is hereby given that by an entry in its minute book signed in accordance with section 362 (1) of the Companies Act 1955, the above-named company on the 3rd day of August 1964, passed a resolution for voluntary winding up and that a meeting of the creditors of the above-named company will accordingly be held at the Red Cross Rooms, Logan Street, Upper Hutt, on Thursday the 13th day of August 1964, at 3.30 p.m.

NOTICE is hereby given that a petition for the winding up of the above-named company by the Supreme Court was, on the 23rd day of July 1964, presented to the said Court by McKenzie and Ridley Ltd., a duly incorporated company having its registered office at 305A Church Street East, Onehunga; and that the said petition is directed to be heard before the Court sitting at Auckland on the 28th day of August 1964, at 10 a.m.; and any creditor or contributory of the said company desirous to support or oppose the making of an order on the said petition may appear at the time of hearing in person or by his counsel for that purpose; and a copy of the petition will be furnished by the under-signed to any creditor or contributory of the said company requiring a copy on payment of the regulated charge for the same.

LEGAL PARTNERSHIP
THE partnership heretofore carried on by Leonard Joseph Hunter Hensley, Allan Cameron Rattray, and Paul Lyon Mortlock, as barristers and solicitors under the firm name of “Hensley, Rattray and Mortlock” at 188 Hereford Street, Christchurch, is dissolved by mutual consent as from the 31st day of July 1964.
As from that date the practice will be carried on by Mr L. J. H. Hensley and Mr P. L. Mortlock, at the same address and under the firm name of “Hensley and Mortlock.”

THAMES BOROUGH COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Pensioner Flats Loan 1964, £4,500
NOTICE is hereby given that the following resolution was passed by the Thames Borough Council on 22 July 1964. Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Thames Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £4,500, authorised to be raised by the Thames Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of purchasing land and erecting accommodation for old people, the said Thames Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of 0·072 pence in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Borough of Thames comprising the whole of the Borough of Thames; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of April and the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 35 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

OTAHUHU BOROUGH COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Otahuhu Borough Council, at a special meeting held in the Council Chambers, Great South Road, Otahuhu, on Thursday, 16 July 1964, resolved as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of eighty thousand pounds (£80,000) authorised to be raised by the Otahuhu Borough Council under the provisions of the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 for the purpose of purchasing properties and meeting the cost of engineering and contingencies in a scheme for development of off-street parking, the said Otahuhu Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of one decimal nine six two pence (1·962d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the special rating area constituted for the said loan, and more particularly defined in the authentic special rating list; and that the said rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 20 years, maturing on the 1st day of December 1983, and that the Otahuhu Borough Council hereby appropriates and pledges the foregoing rate as security for the said loan.
I hereby certify that the foregoing is a true copy of Resolution No. 1600 passed by the Otahuhu Borough Council and recorded in the minutes of the proceedings of the meeting held on 16 June 1964.”

INVERCARGILL CITY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Civic Administration Building Loan 1961, £286,000, First Issue of £100
“THAT, pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, and for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £100 authorised to be raised by the Invercargill City Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of constructing a new Civic Administration Building including flooring and work incidental thereto, the said Invercargill City Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought nought two pence (0·002d.) in the pound on the rateable value on the basis of the unimproved value of all rateable property in the City of Invercargill; and that the said special rate shall be payable yearly on the 10th day of August in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of one year, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of a resolution passed at a meeting of the Invercargill City Council held on Tuesday, 28 July 1964.
