HUTT VALLEY ELECTRIC POWER AND GAS BOARD
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Loan No. 31, 1963, £200,000
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Hutt Valley Electric Power and Gas Board hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £200,000 authorised to be raised by the Hutt Valley Electric Power and Gas Board under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of further reticulating the Hutt Valley Electric Power and Gas District, and for such purposes to do all or any of such matters and things which the Board is empowered to do by the Electric Power Boards Act 1925 and its amendments, and by all other powers and authorities it thereunto enabling, the said Hutt Valley Electric Power and Gas Board hereby makes a special rate of one hundred and seventy-two thousandths of a penny (0·172d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Hutt Valley Electric Power and Gas District, comprising the City of Lower Hutt; part of the City of Wellington; the Boroughs of Eastbourne, Petone, Porirua, Tawa, and Upper Hutt; part of the Hutt County; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 31st day of March in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 10 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

WHAKATANE BOROUGH COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Water Supply Extension Renewal Loan 1964, £11,000
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Whakatane Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of eleven thousand pounds (£11,000) authorised to be raised by the Whakatane Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of repaying on maturity that portion of the Water Supply Extensions Loan 1953 which matured on 30th May 1964, the said Whakatane Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal one four pence (0·14d.) in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property within the Borough of Whakatane; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 20 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Whakatane Borough Council held on the 20th day of July 1964.

NEW PLYMOUTH CITY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
PURSUANT to the provisions of the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the New Plymouth City Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of one thousand eight hundred and fifty pounds (£1,850) to be known as the Pensioners Housing Loan 1964, No. 1, authorised to be raised by the New Plymouth City Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of erecting flats for pensioners, the New Plymouth City Council hereby makes a special rate of nought decimal nought nought five pence (0·005d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property within the City of New Plymouth; and that the said special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of April and 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of twenty-five (25) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
The above resolution was passed at a meeting of the New Plymouth City Council held on 20 July 1964.

NEW PLYMOUTH CITY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
New Plymouth City Council Renewal Loan 1964
THAT, pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the New Plymouth City Council hereby resolves:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on the New Plymouth City Renewal Loan 1964, of £24,800, authorised to be raised by the New Plymouth City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of repaying the balances of the second portion of £20,000 of the second issue £60,000 of the Streets Improvement Loan 1953 amounting to £11,000, and the Bridges and Culverts Loan 1953 amounting to £13,800, which will remain unpaid at the date of maturity i.e. 1 October 1964, the New Plymouth City Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought seven five pence (0·075d) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the whole of the City of New Plymouth; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable by equal aggregate annual or half-yearly instalments on the 1st day of April and the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 15 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of a resolution passed by the New Plymouth City Council at a properly convened meeting held on 20 July 1964.

WAIRARAPA ELECTRIC POWER BOARD
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Building Supplementary Loan 1964, £7,500
PUBLIC notice is hereby given that at a meeting of the Wairarapa Electric Power Board held on the 23rd day of July 1964, the following resolution was passed:
“Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Wairarapa Electric Power Board hereby resolves as follows:
That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £7,500 authorised to be raised by the Wairarapa Electric Power Board under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of assisting to finance the erection of a new head office building, the said Wairarapa Electric Power Board hereby makes a special rate of thirty-two one thousandths of a penny (32/1000d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value on the basis of the capital value of all rateable property of the Wairarapa Electric Power District; and that the special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of September in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of ten years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND
IN the matter of the Public Works Act 1928, notice is hereby given that the Auckland City Council proposes under the provisions of the above-mentioned Act to execute a certain public work, namely provision of an access-way in the City of Auckland, and for the purpose of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken.
And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Town Clerk at the Town Hall, Auckland, and it is open for public inspection, without fee, by all persons during ordinary office hours. Every person affected who wishes to make any objection to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said lands (not being an objection to the amount or payment of compensation) must state his objection in writing and send the same within 40 days from the first publication of this notice to the Town Clerk, Town Hall, Auckland.
