KAITAIA BOROUGH COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
I, Earle Lewis Worke Reid, Town Clerk of the Kaitaia
Borough Council, do hereby certify that the following resolu-
tion was duly passed at a meeting of the said council held
in Kaitaia on 22 July 1964:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on
the Town Planning Loan No. 1, 1964—three thousand pounds
(£3,000) authorised to be raised by the Kaitaia Borough
Council under the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, for the
purpose of meeting part of the cost of compensation for
land acquired under the Public Works Act for a car park,
bus terminal, service lane, and accessway, the council hereby
makes a special rate of fourteen-hundredths of a penny
(0·14d.) in the pound (on the basis of unimproved value)
upon all the rateable property in the borough of Kaitaia;
and that the special rate shall be an annually recurring rate
and be payable on the 1st day of April in each and every
year during the currency of the loan, being a period of
10 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

HASTINGS CITY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
The following resolution was duly passed at a meeting of
the Hastings City Council held on the 15th day of June
1964. Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956,
the Hastings City Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on
a loan of seventy-four thousand six hundred pounds (£74,600)
to be known as the Hastings City Council Development Loan
1964 of £74,600 authorised to be raised by the Hastings City
Council under the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, for
the purpose of constructing or installing stormwater drain-
age, water reticulation, sewerage pumping stations, swimming
baths at Windsor Park, and changing rooms and toilets
in Frimley and Mayfair Parks, hereby makes a special rate of
decimal one six six (0·166d.) pence in the pound of rate-
able value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all
rateable property within the whole of the City of Hastings;
and that the said special rate shall be an annual-recurring
rate during the currency of such loan and shall be payable
yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year dur-
ing the currency of this loan, being a period of 25 years, or
until such loan is fully paid off.”

CENTRAL WAIKATO ELECTRIC POWER BOARD
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
General Reticulation Loan (1964), £200,000
Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Central Waikato Electric Power Board hereby resolves as
follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on
a loan of two hundred thousand pounds (£200,000), authorised
to be raised by the Central Waikato Electric Power Board
under the above-mentioned Act for the purposes of financing
the further extensions and development of the board’s reticula-
tion system, including the purchase and installation of
centralised load control equipment, for the benefit of the
Board’s Electric Supply District, and for such purposes to
do all of any of such matters and things which the Board
is empowered to do by the Electric Power Boards’ Act 1925
and its amendments, and by all other powers and authorities
it enabling, the Central Waikato Electric Power Board here-
by makes a special rate of 0·0584 of a penny in the pound
(£) upon the rateable value (on the basis of the capital
value) of all rateable property in the Central Waikato Electric
Power District; and that the special rate shall be an annually
recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable
annually on the 15th day of October in each and every year
during the currency of the loan, being a period of twenty (20)
years, or until the loan is fully repaid.”
The foregoing resolution was duly passed by the Central
Waikato Electric Power Board at a meeting of the board
held on the 15th day of July 1964.

AUCKLAND CITY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Phillips Street Redevelopment Loan 1963, £460,000
That, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in
it in that behalf by the Municipal Corporations Act 1954 and
amendments, the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and
amendment, and regulations thereunder, and of all other
powers thereunto enabling it, the Auckland City Council
hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing interest and other
charges on a loan of four hundred and sixty thousand pounds
(£460,000) to be known as the Phillips Street Redevelopment
Loan 1963, £460,000, which amount is proposed to be
raised by the Auckland City Council under the above-
mentioned Acts for the purpose of carrying out redevelopment
of the Phillips Street area in Freemans Bay, Auckland, and the
cost of raising the loan, the said Auckland City Council
hereby makes and levies a special rate of seven-eighteenths
of one penny (7/18 of 1d.) in the pound (£) on the rateable
value (on the basis of the annual value) of all rateable
property of Auckland City comprising the whole of the City
of Auckland; and that the said special rate shall be an annual-
recurring rate during the currency of such loan and shall
be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every
year during the currency of the said loan or until the loan is
fully paid off.”

AMURI COUNTY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
That, pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956,
the Amuri County Council hereby resolves as follows.
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges
on a loan of £16,000 authorised to be raised by the Amuri
County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the
purpose of providing a water supply for the Culverden
Township Water Supply Special Area, the said Amuri County
Council hereby makes a special rate of 1·184d. in the £ upon
the rateable (capital) value of all rateable property in the
Culverden Township water supply special area; and that
the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the
currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day
of September in each and every year during the currency
of the loan, being a period of 30 years, or until the loan is
fully paid off.”
We hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was passed
at a properly constituted meeting of the Amuri County
Council held on the 3rd day of July 1964.

Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Hutt
Valley Electric Power and Gas Board hereby resolves as
follows:
“That; for the purpose of providing the annual charges on
a loan of £50,000 authorised to be raised by the Hutt Valley
Electric Power and Gas Board under the above-mentioned
Act for the purpose of erecting a Branch Office and Showroom
in the Porirua Town Centre, and for such purposes to do
all or any of such matters and things which the Board is
empowered to do by the Electric Power Boards Act 1925 and its
amendments, and by all other powers and authorities it there-
unto enabling, the said Hutt Valley Electric Power and Gas
Board hereby makes a special rate of twenty-one thousandths of
a penny (0·021d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value
(on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property
in the Hutt Valley Electric Power and Gas District, com-
prising the City of Lower Hutt; part of the City of Wellington;
the Boroughs of Eastbourne, Petone, Porirua, Tawa, and
Upper Hutt; part of the Hutt County; and that the special
rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of
the loan and be payable yearly on the 31st day of March
in each and every year during the currency of the loan,
being a period of 25 years, or until the loan is fully paid
off.”
