Setting Apart Maori Freehold Land as a Maori Reservation

ORDER IN COUNCIL

At the Government House at Wellington this 22nd day of July 1964

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to section 439 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby sets apart the Maori freehold land described in the Schedule hereto as a Maori reservation for the purpose of a burial ground for the common use and benefit of the Ngati-Maniapoto tribe.

Seddon Memorial Technical College Board of Managers Order 1964

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to section 113 of the Education Act 1914, as amended by section 11 of the Education Amendment Act 1952, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.

ORDER

  1. (1) This order may be cited as the Seddon Memorial Technical College Board of Managers Order 1964.
    (2) This order shall come into force on the 1st day of August 1964.

  2. The constitution of the Board of Managers of the Seddon Memorial Technical College, prescribed by section 113 of the Education Act 1914, is hereby varied so that the school shall be controlled by a Board of Managers constituted as follows:
    (a) One member appointed by the Auckland Education Board;
    (b) Five members elected by the parents of the pupils attending the school;
    (c) One member appointed by the Board of Managers of the Auckland Technical Institute;
    (d) One member appointed by the Seddon Memorial Technical College Past Students Association;
    (e) One member appointed by the associations of employers in local industries;
    (f) One member appointed by the associations of employees in local industries;
    (g) Two members to be co-opted by the Board of Managers itself, if and when it thinks fit.

Auckland Technical Institute Board of Managers Order 1964

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to section 4 of the Education Amendment Act 1963, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.

ORDER

  1. (1) This order may be cited as the Auckland Technical Institute Board of Managers Order 1964.
    (2) This order shall come into force on the 1st day of August 1964.

  2. Subject to the provisions of clause 3 of this order, the Board of Managers for the Auckland Technical Institute shall be constituted as follows:
    (a) One member appointed by the Auckland City Council;
    (b) One member appointed by the Council of the University of Auckland;
    (c) One member appointed by the Auckland Branch of the New Zealand Institute of Architects;
    (d) One member appointed by the Auckland Branch of the New Zealand Institution of Engineers;
    (e) One member appointed by the Auckland Branch of the New Zealand Society of Accountants;
    (f) Three members appointed by the associations of employers in local industries;
    (g) Three members appointed by the associations of employees in local industries;
    (h) Four members to be co-opted by the Board of Managers itself, if and when it thinks fit.

  3. The Superintendent of Education, Auckland, or his deputy, shall be an associate member of the Board entitled to be present at any meeting of the Board or of any committee of the Board, and to speak at the meeting; but he shall not be entitled to vote at any such meeting.

Authorising Square Freeholds Ltd. to Erect and Use Certain Electric Lines in the City of Christchurch

ORDER IN COUNCIL

At the Government House at Wellington this 22nd day of July 1964

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorises, subject to the conditions hereinafter set forth, Square Freeholds Ltd., a company duly incorporated under the Companies Act 1933 and having its registered office at Christchurch (hereinafter referred to as the licensee), to lay, construct, put up, place, and use the electric lines described in the Schedule hereto.

CONDITIONS

IMPLIED CONDITIONS

  1. The conditions directed to be implied in all licences by the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935 and the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1961 shall be incorporated in and shall form part of this licence, except in so far as the same may be inconsistent with the provisions hereof.

LICENCE SUBJECT TO REGULATIONS

  1. The licence is issued under the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935, and is subject thereto, and to the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1961, the Radio Interference Regulations 1958, and to all regulations hereafter made in amendment thereof or in substitution therefor respectively.

SYSTEM OF SUPPLY

  1. The system of supply shall be as described in paragraph (a) of regulation 21-01 of the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935.

DURATION OF LICENCE

  1. Unless sooner lawfully determined this licence shall continue in force until the 31st day of March 1971.

LIMITATION AS TO USE OF ELECTRIC LINES

  1. The electric lines described in the Schedule hereto shall be used by the licensee only during periods when the supply of electrical energy from the Christchurch City Council is insufficient or is not available.

SCHEDULE

CABLE for the supply of electrical energy by the system of supply hereinbefore described commencing from the generating room in the Christchurch Press Co. Ltd.’s building, Cathedral Square, in the City of Christchurch, and proceeding in a south-westerly direction generally through the said building; thence across Press Lane, and through Warners Hotel to the main switchboard situated on the first floor thereof.

The said cable being more particularly shown by means of red lines on the plan marked S.H.D. 259, deposited in the office of the New Zealand Electricity Department at Wellington.
