NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND
NOTICE is hereby given that the Christchurch City Council
proposes, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928,
to take the land described in the Schedule hereto for public
street.
A plan showing the land proposed to be taken is available
for public inspection at the offices of the Christchurch City
Council, Manchester Street, Christchurch. Any persons
having any well grounded objection to the proposed taking
should lodge their objections in writing within forty (40)
days from the 20th day of July 1964, being the date of
the first publication of this notice, at the said office of the
Christchurch City Council.
SCHEDULE
ALL that piece of land containing two perches and eight
hundredths of a perch (2·08 p.), or thereabouts, situated
in the City of Christchurch, being part Lot 1, Deposited
Plan 7493, part Section 702, Town of Christchurch, and
being also part of the land described in certificate of title,
Volume 481, folio 296 (Canterbury Registry), as the same
is shown coloured orange on S.O. Plan 10281, being part
of the property known as “Warners Hotel”, Cathedral

OROUA COUNTY COUNCIL
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND FOR ROADING
IN the matter of the Public Works Act 1928 and its amend-
ments, notice is hereby given that the Oroua County Council
intends to take under the provisions of the Public Works Act
1928 and its amendments, for the purposes of a road,
those parcels of land containing respectively one (1) rood
twenty-five decimal nine (25·9) perches, more or less, coloured
orange, and one (1) rood thirty-seven decimal nine (37·9)
perches, more or less, coloured blue on Survey Office Plan
Number 15651, being part of the Lot marked Subdivision 2
on Deposited Plan Number 482, part Block Q, Manchester
Block, and being part of the land in certificate of title, Vol-
ume 83, folio 136, Wellington Registry situate on Feilding
Road, Ashhurst; and the said Council intends to take that
portion of the said land containing 0·3 of a perch coloured
orange, edged orange, on the said Plan for the purposes of
section 29 (6) of the Public Works Amendment Act 1948.
The plans of the said parcels of land are deposited at the
public office of the Oroua County Council, Manchester Street,
Feilding, and are there open for inspection by all persons
at all reasonable hours. All persons affected by the taking of
the said parcels of land for roading are hereby required and
called upon to set forth in writing any well grounded objec-
tions to the taking of the said parcels of land and to send
such writing with forty (40) days after the first publication
of this notice to the Oroua County Council, Manchester Street,
Feilding.

BOROUGH OF ASHBURTON
TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953
Public Notification of Variations to District Scheme
PUBLIC notice is hereby given that, pursuant to resolutions
of the Ashburton Borough Council, made on 6 July 1964, the
following variations have been recommended for approval
under the Town and Country Planning Act 1953.
The variations relate to:
(a) Proposed extension to the existing Industrial C zone
to include parts reserve 2275, 2378, Melcombe Street,
at present zoned as rural.
(b) Proposed extension to the existing Commercial A zone
to include portion of part Lot 117, D.P. 236, Allens
Road, at present zoned as Residential A.
(c) Proposed addition to code of ordinances forming part
of the Ashburton Borough District Scheme, ordinance
9, Commercial A zone, conditional uses. Subclause
(h) to read as follows:
(h) Restricted use rear Lots 1 and 2 of D.P.—
Harrison Street and Allens Road. Use of the afore-
going rear sites for “public utility” purposes con-
sidered appropriate by Council for including in this
type of zone, and not being retailing or business
premises.
Part plans and a copy of the code of ordinances of the
Ashburton Borough District Scheme embodying the proposed
amendment have been deposited in the Municipal Chambers,
Havelock Street, Ashburton, and the Public Library, in accord-
ance with section 22 (1) of that Act, and are there for
inspection, without fee, to all persons interested therein at any
time when the above places are open to the public.
Objections to the variation or to any part thereof shall be
in writing in form E, prescribed in the First Schedule to the
Town and Country Planning Regulations 1960, and shall be
lodged at the office of the Council at any time not later than
3 September 1964. At a later date every objection will be
open for public inspection, and any person who wishes to
support or oppose any objection will be entitled to be heard
at the hearing of objections if he notifies the Town Clerk
in writing within the period of which public notice will be
given.

WANGANUI CITY COUNCIL
TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953
Changes to the City of Wanganui District Scheme Approved
PURSUANT to the Town and Country Planning Regulations
1960, public notice is hereby given that the under-mentioned
changes to the district scheme, under the Town and Country
Planning Act 1953, for the City of Wanganui were approved
by the Council by resolution passed at its meeting held on
the 13th day of July 1964. No objections were received to any
change and no deferment was sought by the Minister or any
local authority.
The Council has also resolved that the under-mentioned
changes shall come into operation on the 3rd day of August
1964.
Copies of the changes as approved have been deposited
in the Council’s office, St. Hill Street, and in the Wanganui
Public Library and may be inspected without fee by any
person who so requires at any time when these places are
open to the public.
