RODNEY COUNTY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, and the
Rural Housing Act 1939, the Rodney County Council hereby
resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges
on a loan of £30,000 authorised to be raised by the Rodney
County Council under the above-mentioned Acts, such loan
to be known as the Rural Housing Loan (No. 5) 1964 of
£30,000, for the purpose of making advances to farmers for
the erection of dwellings under the Rural Housing Act
1939, the said Rodney County Council hereby makes and
levies a special rate of decimal two one nought eight three
three pence (0·210833d.) in the pound on the basis of the
unimproved value of all the rateable property in the whole
of the County of Rodney; and that such special rate shall
be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan
and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and
every year during the currency of such loan or until the
loan is fully paid off. It is not proposed to collect the special
rate, but to meet the annual charges on the loan from the
repayments of interest and principal made by persons to
whom the advances are made by the Council, pursuant to the
Rural Housing Act 1939.”
The above resolution was passed at a meeting of the
Rodney County Council held on 25 June 1964.

BOROUGH OF MOTUEKA
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Storm-water Drainage Loan 1964, £4,000
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Motueka Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing for the annual
charges on a loan of £4,000 authorised to be raised by
the Motueka Borough Council under the above-mentioned
Act for the purpose of installing storm-water drainage,
the said Motueka Borough Council hereby makes a special
rate of five two hundred and fifty-sixths of a penny
(5/256d.) in the pound upon the rateable value of all
rateable property in the Borough of Motueka; and that
the special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during
the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the
1st day of August in each and every year during the
currency of the loan being a period of twenty-five (25) years,
or until the loan is fully paid off.”

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Redemption Loan No. 1, 1964, £14,000
THE Hutt County Council, at its meeting held on 25 June
1964, passed the following resolution. Pursuant to the Local
Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Hutt County Council hereby
resolves:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges of
a loan of £14,000, authorised to be raised by the Hutt
County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the pur-
pose of repaying that portion of the principal sum in the
Pinehaven Sewerage Loan 1957, £54,000 (issue of £30,000),
which matures on 1 August 1964, the said Hutt County Council
hereby makes and levies a special rate of decimal eight
pence in the pound upon the unimproved value of all rate-
able property of the Special Rating Area No. 53A, being
portion of the Heretaunga Riding of the County of Hutt;
and that the special rate shall be an annually recurring rate
during the currency of the loan and be payable on 1 April
in each and every year during the currency of the loan,
being a period of 24 years, or until the loan is fully repaid.”

RESOLUTION STRIKING SPECIAL RATE
Redemption Loan No. 2, 1964, £14,000
THE Hutt County Council, at its meeting held on 25 June
1964, passed the following resolution. Pursuant to the Local
Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Hutt County Council hereby
resolves:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges of a
loan of £14,000, authorised to be raised by the Hutt County
Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of
repaying that portion of the principal sum in the Wainui-
omata Sewerage Reticulation to Boundaries Loan 1958, £60,000
(issue of £50,000), which matures on 1 February 1965, the
said Hutt County Council hereby makes and levies a special
rate of decimal 22 pence in the pound upon the unimproved
value of all rateable property of the Special Rating Area
No. 56A, being portion of the Wainuiomata Riding of the
County of Hutt; and that the special rate shall be an annually
recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be pay-
able on 1 April in each and every year during the currency
of the loan, being a period of 24 years, or until the loan
is fully repaid.”

THE Hutt County Council, at its meeting held on 25 June
1964, passed the following resolution. Pursuant to the Local
Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Hutt County Council hereby
resolves:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges of a
loan of £4,000, authorised to be raised by the Hutt County
Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of
repaying that portion of the principal sum in the Wainuiomata
Sewerage Treatment Works Loan 1954, £125,000 (issue of
£55,000), which matures on 1 September 1964, the said Hutt
County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of
decimal 04 pence in the pound upon the unimproved value of
all rateable property of the Special Rating Area No. 55,
being portion of the Wainuiomata Riding of the County of
Hutt; and that the special rate shall be an annually recurring
rate during the currency of the loan and be payable on 1 April
in each and every year during the currency of the loan,
being a period of 22 years, or until the loan is fully repaid.”

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on
a loan of £14,000, authorised to be raised by the Hutt County
Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of
repaying that portion of the principal sum in the Plimmerton/
Paremata Water Reticulation Loan 1954, £76,000 (issue of
£23,500), which matures on 15 February 1965, the said
Hutt County Council hereby makes and levies a special
rate of decimal 27 pence in the pound upon the unimproved
value of all rateable property of the Special Rating Area
No. 54, being portion of the Taupo Riding of the County
of Hutt; and that the special rate shall be an annually
recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be pay-
able on 1 April in each and every year during the currency
of the loan, being a period of 30 years, or until the loan
is fully repaid.”
