NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

In the matter of the Public Works Act 1928 and in the matter of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954, whereas it is provided by section 327 of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954 that the Council from time to time may purchase or may take or otherwise acquire as for public works, under the Public Works Act 1928, any area or areas of land within the district for housing purposes, and whereas it is provided by section 163 of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954 as follows:

“The Council shall have power to take in the manner provided by the Public Works Act 1928, or purchase or otherwise acquire and hold any land whether within or without the city which may be necessary or convenient for the purposes of or in connection with any public work which the Council is empowered to undertake, construct, or provide or for carrying out any of the purposes of this Act.”

And whereas it is the intention of the Hastings City Council to acquire land within the City of Hastings for housing purposes, now therefore notice is hereby given that the Hastings City Council proposes under the aforesaid provisions of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954, and under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928 and all other acts and powers enabling it in that behalf to take for housing purposes the land described in the Schedule hereto, and notice is hereby further given that plans of the lands so required to be taken are deposited in the public office of the Town Clerk for the said Council, at Hastings Street, Hastings, and are there open for inspection, without fee, by all persons during ordinary office hours. All persons affected by the execution of the said public works or by the taking of such lands who have any well grounded objections to the execution of the said public works or to the taking of the said lands are hereby called upon to set forth the same in writing and to send such writing within 40 days from the first publication of this notice to the Hastings City Council, addressed to the Town Clerk, at his said office.

MANUKAU COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

In the matter of the Counties Act 1956, the Counties Amendment Act 1961, and the Public Works Act 1928, notice is hereby given that the Manukau County Council proposes under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts to execute certain public works, namely, the improvement of the corner of Massey Road and First Avenue in Block VI, of the Otahuhu Survey District, and the creation of a housing area and a recreation ground in the said Block and for the purposes of such public works the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken, and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so required to be taken as aforesaid is deposited at the Otahuhu (Great South Road) Post Office and is there open for inspection, without fee, by all persons during all reasonable hours.

All persons affected by the execution of the said public works or by the taking of the said land who may wish to make any objections to the execution of the said public works or to the taking of the said land, not being an objection to the amount or payment of compensation, must state such objections in writing and send the same within forty (40) days from the first publication of this notice to the County Clerk of the Manukau County Council at the office of the said Council, P.O. Box 23-086, Papatoetoe.

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT

ALL that piece of land containing 15 acres 3 roods 22 perches, more or less, being Lots 5, 15, and 16, on a plan lodged in the Deeds Register Office at Auckland as No. 65 blue, and being part of Fairburns Claim 269A, Parish of Manurewa, and being the whole of the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 754, folio 62 (North Auckland Land Registry), limited as to parcels and title, as the said piece of land is shown coloured yellow, and yellow edged yellow on Survey Office Plan No. 44328, being the land situated at the corner of Massey Road and First Avenue at Mangere East, bounded to the north-west by Massey Road and to the north-east by First Avenue and extending along the south-eastern boundary of First Avenue and beyond Third Avenue for a length of 1872·20 links.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Whakatane County Council proposes under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to execute a certain public work, namely, the realignment and widening of a public road, and for the purpose of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken and notice is hereby given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited at the office of the said Council, situated at the Strand, Whakatane, and is open for inspection, without fee, by all persons during ordinary office hours. All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said land must state their objections in writing and send the same, within 40 days from the first publication of this notice, to the Clerk of the said Council at the said office.
