RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Waterworks Reservoirs Loan 1964, £90,000

THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Municipal Corporations Act 1954 and amendments, the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and amendment, and regulations thereunder, and of all other powers thereunto enabling it, the Auckland City Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of ninety thousand pounds (£90,000) to be known as the Waterworks Reservoirs Loan 1964, £90,000, which amount is proposed to be raised by the Auckland City Council under the above-mentioned Acts for the purpose of meeting part of the cost of erecting service reservoirs, and the cost of raising the loan, the said Auckland City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of four thirty-thirds of one penny (4/33rds of 1d.) in the pound (£) on the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value) of all rateable property of Auckland City comprising the whole of the City of Auckland; and that the said special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of the said loan, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

Redemption Loan No. 14, 1964, £8,300

THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Municipal Corporations Act 1954 and amendments, the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and amendment, and regulations thereunder, and of all other powers thereunto enabling it, the Auckland City Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of eight thousand three hundred pounds (£8,300) to be known as the Redemption Loan No. 14, 1964, £8,300, which amount is proposed to be raised by the Auckland City Council under the above-mentioned Acts for the purpose of repaying on maturity that portion of the Drainage Loan 1955, which matures on 1 August 1964, and the cost of raising the loan, the said Auckland City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one forty-fourth of one penny (1/44th of 1d.) in the pound (£) on the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value) of all rateable property of Auckland City comprising the whole of the City of Auckland; and that the said special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of the said loan, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

TAWERA COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
———

THE Tawera County Council resolved that it, for the purpose of building a dwellinghouse for an employee, raise a loan of £2,000 from the National Provident Fund for a term of 15 years at 5⅜ per cent repayable by half-yearly instalments of £97 19s. 3d., such loan to be secured by a special rate of ·00515d. for every £1 of rateable capital value appearing on the rolls of the county.

COROMANDEL COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
———
Rural Housing Loan 1964, £15,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Coromandel County Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £15,000 authorised to be raised by the Coromandel County Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of making advances to farmers in terms of the Rural Housing Act 1939, the said Coromandel County Council hereby makes a special rate of 0·223d. in the pound upon the rateable (unimproved) value of all rateable property of the whole of the County of Coromandel; and that the special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 20 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

NOTICE OF RESULT OF POLL ON LOAN PROPOSAL

PURSUANT to section 38 of the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, notice is hereby given that a poll of the ratepayers of the Gore Borough rating area, taken on 23 June 1964, on the proposal of the above-named local authority to raise a loan of £44,000 to be known as the Civic Administration Building Loan 1963, for the purpose of erecting and equipping a Civic Administration Building resulted as follows:

The number of votes recorded for the proposal was ..... 731
The number of votes recorded against the proposal was 309
The number of informal votes was ..... ..... ..... 13

I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

ELLESMERE COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND
———

NOTICE is hereby given that the Ellesmere County Council proposes, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to take the land described in the Schedule hereto for the purpose of a fire station. A plan showing the land proposed to be taken is available for public inspection at the office of the Ellesmere County Council, Leeston.

Any persons affected by the taking of such land should, if they have any objection to the taking of such land, not being objections to the amount or payment of compensation, set forth the same in writing and send such written objection within 40 days from the date of the first publication of this notice to the said office of the Ellesmere County Council.

SCHEDULE

ALL that piece of land situated at the corner of Leinster Terrace and James Street, in the township of Lincoln in Block V of the Halswell Survey District, containing twenty-five and four-tenth perches (25·4), coloured blue on S.O. Plan 10308. This land is in the name of James Edward Fitzgerald, at one time Superintendent of the Province of Canterbury.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

IN the matter of the Public Works Act 1928 and in the matter of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954, notice is hereby given that the Lower Hutt City Council, being a local authority within the meaning of the Public Works Act 1928, proposes under the provisions of the under-mentioned Acts and of every and any other power it thereunto enabling to execute a public work; namely the laying out and formation of a new street in the city and for the purpose of such public work the lands described in the Schedule hereto, being lands on both sides of the proposed new street, are required in connection with the said proposed new street, and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the lands so required to be taken and marked T.P. T13 is deposited at the offices of the Council, Laings Road, Lower Hutt, and is there open for inspection by all persons, without fee, during ordinary office hours. All persons who are affected by the execution of the said public work or the taking of the said pieces of land and who have any objection to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said pieces of land or any of them should state their objections in writing and send such objections to the Town Clerk, Council Chambers, Laings Road, Lower Hutt, within forty (40) days from the first publication of this notice.
