Varying a Condition as to Setting Back the Building Line of
Portion of Plimmers Steps in the City of Wellington

At the Government Buildings at Wellington this 21st day
of January 1964

Present:

THE RIGHT HON. KEITH HOLYOAKE, C.H., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to section 131 of the Public Works Act 1928, His
Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby amends
the Order in Council dated 24 March 1958, published in
Gazette, 27 March 1958, page 379, and deposited as No.
2495, Wellington Land Registry, exempting from the pro-
visions of section 128 of the Public Works Act 1928, inter
alia, the north-western side of Plimmers Steps in the City
of Wellington, subject to conditions as to the building line,
by cancelling the said conditions as to the building line by
deleting from the said Order in Council all words between
the words “described in the Third and Fourth Schedule here-
to” and the words “breach of this further condition”, and
substituting the following words, “subject to the condition
that no building or part of a building shall be erected on
Lot 1, D.P. 20963 (certificate of title, Volume 842, folio 70),
within a distance of 20 ft from the centre line of the street
known as Plimmers Steps provided that the erection of the
buildings and appurtenances to the height and in the positions
indicated on the two plans marked M.O.W. 9002 deposited in
the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington shall not
be deemed to be a breach of this condition”.

Appointment of Parliamentary Under-Secretaries

PURSUANT to the Civil List Act 1950, His Excellency the
Governor-General has been pleased to appoint

Lancelot Raymond Adams-Schneider, Esquire, of Hamilton,
a Member of the House of Representatives,

to be a Parliamentary Under-Secretary in relation to the
offices of the Minister of Industries and Commerce and the
Minister of Customs; and

Robert David Muldoon, Esquire, of Auckland, a Member of
the House of Representatives,

to be a Parliamentary Under-Secretary in relation to the
offices of the Minister of Finance and the Minister in Charge
of the Inland Revenue Department.

the 3rd day of February 1964.
