three pence (0·073d.) in the pound on the rateable value on
the basis of the unimproved value of all rateable property
in the City of Invercargill; and that the said special rate
shall be payable yearly on the 15th day of May in each
and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period
of 30 years, or until the loan is fully paid off."
I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy
of a resolution passed at a meeting of the Invercargill City
Council held on Tuesday, 28 April 1964.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND
Notice Under Public Works Act 1928
TAKE notice that the New Lynn Borough Council intends to
undertake a comprehensive public work or scheme of development
or reconstruction as hereinafter set forth. The nature of the
works included in the comprehensive public work or scheme of
development or reconstruction is the acquisition of the land
within the approximate boundaries hereinafter mentioned, the
demolition of all existing structures thereon, and the establishment
upon the said land of a public car park. The approximate
boundaries of the area affected thereby are set forth in the
Schedule hereto. This notice shall remain in force until the
30th day of April 1966.
SCHEDULE
LAND to be taken for the provision of public car park, being
parts of Allotment 257, Parish of Waikomiti, situated in the
Borough of New Lynn, comprising 3 roods 16 perches, more or
less, bounded by a straight line across that land in the estate
of S. H. Todd, being part C.T. 1c/1217, and parallel to the
front boundary thereof, and distant approximately 100 ft
therefrom, continuing in a westerly direction across that piece
of land in ownership of the Crown contained in C.T. 217/244,
to a point on the western boundary thereof and distant approximately
100 ft from the boundary of it with Todd Avenue;
then across that piece of land owned by W. B. Todd as a
tenant-in-common in equal shares with A. R. Todd, being Lot
2, D.P. 8593, the respective shares being contained in C.T.
652/250 and C.T. 1072/107, to a point on the western boundary
thereof and distant approximately 95 ft from the boundary of
that property with Todd Avenue, and continuing across that
piece of land in the ownership of the estate of S. H. Todd,
being Lot 1, D.P. 43827, part C.T. 1c/1217, in a generally
westerly direction to a point on the western boundary of that
property, distant approximately 90 ft from its frontage with
Todd Avenue, and continuing across that piece of land in
ownership of the Bank of New Zealand, being Lots 1 and 2, D.P.
44215, and to a point on the frontage of this property with
Totara Avenue, distant approximately 20 ft from the southern
boundary of this property with that owned by W. A. G. On Kee,
and continuing parallel to this southern boundary in an easterly
direction; thence along the western boundary of the property
described as Lot 1, D.P. 43827; thence along the southern
boundary of this property continuing in a straight line across
the southern boundaries of the properties in C.T. 652/250 and
C.T. 1072/107 and C.T. 217/244; thence across the property in
the ownership of the estate of L. H. Rogers, being C.T. 599/287,
to a point on the southern boundary of that property distant
approximately 90 ft from the frontage thereof, and continuing
across that land owned by Mrs V. H. Lyons and K. C. Stewart,
being C.T. 599/151, to a point approximately 105 ft from the
frontage thereof, continuing across that land owned by A. A.
F. Brown, being Lot 1, D.P. 40729, C.T. 1087/170, to a point
on the southern boundary distant approximately 115 ft from the
frontage thereof, continuing along the southern boundary
thereof in an easterly direction to the south-western boundary
of that land in C.T. 1c/1217, and continuing in a southerly
direction to the south-eastern boundary of that land, and along
that boundary to the aforementioned point approximately 100 ft
from the frontage with the Great North Road.

DANNEVIRKE BOROUGH COUNCIL
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND
NOTICE is hereby given that the Dannevirke Borough Council
proposes, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928
and the Municipal Corporations Act 1954, to execute certain
public works, to wit, treatment and disposal of sewage and
refuse, gravel pits, and the provision of pleasure grounds and
sports grounds, and for all or any of such purposes to take the
land described in the Schedule hereto.
A plan showing the land to be taken (together with the names
of the owners and occupiers of such land) is deposited in the
Dannevirke Borough Council's office in High Street, Dannevirke,
and is there open for inspection, without fee, by all persons
during office hours.
All persons affected by the taking of the said land who have
well grounded objections to the taking of the said land shall
set forth such objections in writing and send such writing,
within forty (40) days from the first publication of this
notice, to the Dannevirke Borough Council.
SCHEDULE
ALL those pieces of land situate in the Land District of
Hawke's Bay containing:
Firstly, 2 roods 12 perches, more or less, situate in Block
III, Tahoraite Survey District, being part of Suburban Section
46, Dannevirke, comprising part of Lot 3 on Deposited Plan
6727 and being parts of the land described in certificates of
title, H.B. Volume 130, folio 132, and Volume 130, folio 133;
shown coloured blue on Survey Office Plan No. 5270.
Secondly, 1 rood 18 perches, more or less, situate as
aforesaid, being part of Suburban Section 47, Dannevirke,
comprising part of Lot 1 on Deposited Plan No. 7667 and being
part of the land described in certificate of title, H.B. Volume
166, folio 21; shown coloured orange on Survey Office Plan
No. 5270.
Thirdly, 2 roods 24 perches, more or less, situate as
aforesaid, being part bed of Tapuata Stream; shown coloured
sepia on Survey Office Plan No. 5270.
Fourthly, 3 acres 1 rood 37 perches, more or less, situate as
aforesaid, being part bed of Tapuata Stream; shown coloured
sepia on Survey Office Plan No. 5270.
Fifthly, 1 rood 17 perches, more or less, situate as
aforesaid, being part bed of Tapuata Stream; shown coloured
orange, bordered in orange, on Survey Office Plan No. 5270.

IN the matter of the Public Works Act 1928, the Municipal
Corporations Act 1954, and their respective amendments,
notice is hereby given that the Wellington City Council proposes,
under the provisions of the above-named Acts and all other
Acts, powers, and authorities enabling it in that behalf, to
execute a certain public work, namely, for housing purposes at
Angus Avenue in the City of Wellington; and for the purposes
of that public work the land described in the Schedule hereto
is required to be taken; and notice is hereby further given that
a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the
public office of the Town Clerk to the said Council in the
Municipal Offices Building, Mercer Street, in the said City,
and is there open for inspection, without fee, by all persons
during ordinary office hours; and that all persons affected by
the execution of the said public work or the taking of the said
land should if they have well grounded objections to the
execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said
land, set forth the same in writing and send that writing,
within 40 days from the first publication of this notice, to the
City Council addressed to the Town Clerk at his office.

containing by admeasurement twenty-seven and four-tenths
