OTOROHANGA BOROUGH COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Stormwater Loan 1963, £700
THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by
the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Otorohanga
Borough Council hereby resolved as follows:
"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on
a loan of £700 to be used for the purpose of refunding to
the Council's District Fund Account the sum expended from
that account in completion of stormwater drainage works, the
said Otorohanga Borough Council hereby makes and levies
a special rate of 0·038 pence in the pound on the rateable
unimproved value of all rateable property within the Otoro-
hanga Borough; and that the special rate shall be an annual-
recurring rate during the currency of the said loan and shall
be payable half-yearly on the 15th day of September and
15th day of May in each and every year during the currency
of the loan, being 20 years, or until the loan is fully paid off."
I hereby certify that the above is a true copy of a resolu-
tion passed by the Otorohanga Borough Council at a
special meeting held on the 23rd day of April 1964.

TARADALE BOROUGH COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Pensioners' Housing Supplementary Loan 1964, £1,550
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Taradale Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges
on a loan of £1,550 authorised to be raised by the Taradale
Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the
purpose of completing the erection of pensioners’ flats in
Taradale, the said Taradale Borough Council hereby makes
a special rate of decimal nought one six pence (0·016d.) in
the pound (£) upon the rateable value of all rateable property
in the Borough of Taradale; and that the special rate shall
be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan
and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of June and the
1st day of December in each and every year during the cur-
rency of the loan, being a period of 30 years, or until the
loan is fully paid off."

"THAT, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a
loan of £1,500 authorised to be raised by the Tawa Borough
Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of
acquiring a skating rink in the Grasslees Reserve, the said
Tawa Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of
0·02d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable
property of the whole of the Borough of Tawa; and that the
special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the cur-
rency of the loan and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of
November and the 1st day of May in each and every year
during the currency of the loan, being a period of 20 years,
or until the loan is fully paid off."

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Papakura Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges
on a loan of £21,700 authorised to be raised by the Papakura
Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the
purpose of repaying on maturity those portions of the Water
Supply Improvement Loan 1952, which mature on 1 April
and 30 April 1964, the said Papakura Borough Council here-
by makes a special rate of point one seven eight seven pence
in the pound (0·1787d. in the pound) upon the rateable value
of all rateable property of the Borough of Papakura, com-
prising the whole of the Borough of Papakura; and that the
special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the
currency of the loan, being a period of 20 years, or until the
loan is fully paid off."

Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the
construction of a dam, renewing water supply main, and
purchasing catchment area, the said Papakura Borough
Council hereby makes a special rate of point five one five pence
in the pound (0·515d. in the pound) upon the rateable value
of all rateable property of the Borough of Papakura, compris-
ing the whole of the Borough; and that the special rate shall be
an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan,
being a period of 25 years, or until the loan is fully paid off."

Rural Housing Loan 1963, £10,000
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Wai-
mate West County Council hereby resolves as follows:
"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges
on a loan of twelve thousand pounds (£12,000) authorised
to be raised by the Waimate West County Council under the
above-mentioned Act for the purpose of providing advances
under the Rural Housing Act 1939, the said Waimate West
County Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought
three one pence (0·031d.) in the pound on the rateable
value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable
property in the County of Waimate West; and that such
special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the
currency of such loan and be payable half yearly, the first
such payment to be made not later than six months after
the date of payment of the first instalment, and subsequently
in each and every year during the currency of the loan,
being a period of 25 years, or until the loan is fully paid
off."

"THAT, pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, and
for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan
of £34,600 authorised to be raised by the Invercargill City
Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purposes of
repayment of City Council securities maturing on the 1st day
of July 1964 and the 1st day of August 1964, the said In-
vercargill City Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal
nought four seven pence (0·047d.) in the pound on the rate-
able value on the basis of the unimproved value of all
rateable property in the City of Invercargill; and that the said
special rate shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of July in
each year during the currency of the loan, being a period of
18 years, or until the loan is fully paid off."
I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy
of a resolution passed at a meeting of the Invercargill City
Council held on Tuesday, 28 April 1964.
