MARLBOROUGH ELECTRIC POWER BOARD

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

In the matter of the Electric Power Board Act 1925 and the Public Works Act 1928, notice is hereby given that the Marlborough Electric Power Board, being a board duly constituted under the provisions of the Electric Power Board Act 1925, proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, to execute a certain public work, namely, the erection and maintenance of a substation; and for the purposes of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken; and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the said Board situate in Alfred Street, Blenheim, and is open for inspection, without fee, by all persons during ordinary office hours.

All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of such land who have any objection to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said land, not being an objection to the amount or payment of compensation, must state their objections in writing and send the same, within forty (40) days from the first publication of this notice, to the Secretary at the public office of the said Board.

SCHEDULE

ALL that piece of land containing 4-76 perches, more or less, situate in Arthur Street in the Borough of Blenheim, being part of the land shown on Deposited Plan 78 and being part of Allotment 318 of Section 1, Omaka Registration District, situate in Block XVI, Cloudy Bay Survey District, and being part of the land comprised in certificate of title, Volume 13, folio 285 (Marlborough Registry).

FEILDING BOROUGH COUNCIL

TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953

PUBLIC notice is hereby given, pursuant to section 38A of the Town and Country Planning Act 1953, that the Council has received an application to erect a block of three shops on a property situated at the corner of North and Andrew Streets (being Lot 3, D.P. 18217, and Lot 44, D.P. 21961). Every person who claims to be affected by this use and wishes to be heard by the Council must notify the Town Clerk in writing before 4 p.m. on 27 May 1964.

WESTLAND COUNTY COUNCIL

TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953

Inviting Proposals for Westland County District Scheme

PUBLIC notice is hereby given that the Westland County Council, at its meeting held on the 16th day of April 1964, has resolved to prepare for the Westland County a district scheme as required by the provisions of the Town and Country Planning Act 1953.

Every person concerned and every local authority in the district as defined by section 2 of the Act is hereby invited to submit full information as to the proposals (including public works) which in his or its opinion should be considered in the preparation of the scheme.

Proposals marked 'Westland County District Scheme' should be addressed to the County Clerk and delivered at the County Clerk's office on or before 31 August 1964.

MINING ACT 1926

APPLICATION FOR A LICENCE FOR A WATER RACE

ROBERT IAN BEATTIE and Ernest Colin Carr, both of Patearoa, farmers, hereby give notice that they have applied for a licence for a water race to divert 5 heads of water, for irrigation, stock water, and domestic purposes, from the Taieri River, in the property of the said Robert Ian Beattie, being a point on the boundary of Sections 21 and 22, Block X, Upper Taieri District, running thence in a north-easterly direction in a pipeline into Section 25, Block X, Upper Taieri District, continuing from the end of the pipeline in an open race in a north-easterly direction for approximately 2 miles through the said Section 25, Block X, Upper Taieri District (all the above sections being owned by the said Robert Ian Beattie), into Section 25, Block VI, Upper Taieri District, continuing therein for approximately ½ mile in a northerly direction to the Patearoa-Paerau Main Road, crossing under the said road by means of a pipe-line into Section 24, Block VI, Upper Taieri District, continuing therein for approximately 1½ miles in a north-easterly direction and terminating in the said Section 24, Block VI, Upper Taieri District (the said sections 24 and 25, Block VI, Upper Taieri District, being owned by the said Ernest Colin Carr).

The application and all objections thereto will be heard on Wednesday, the 17th day of June 1964, at 10 a.m., at the Warden's Court at Cromwell, and all objections must be filed in the registrar's office and notified to the applicants or their solicitors at least three days before the time so appointed.

NOTICE OF PRIVATE BILL

CHURCH PROPERTY TRUST (Canterbury) AMENDMENT ACT 1964

IN the matter of the Standing Orders of the House of Representatives relating to Private Bills and in the matter of a Private Bill intituled 'An Act to amend the Church Property Trust (Canterbury) Act 1879' to provide for the amendment of section 10 thereof so as to add a purpose additional to the purposes already set out in the said section and enable the Church Property Trustees to apply income from the Bishopric Estate towards the provision of furniture and furnishings for the residence provided for the occupation of the Bishop of Christchurch, notice is hereby given that the Church Property Trustees, a body corporate constituted under and by virtue of certain Ordinances of the Superintendent and Provincial Council of the late Province of Canterbury intituled respectively 'The Church Property Trust Ordinance Session II No. 3' and 'The Church Property Trust Amendment Ordinance 1867', intends to present a petition to the House of Representatives in Parliament assembled and during this present session thereof for leave to introduce the abovementioned Bill, the objects of which are to amend the Church Property Trust (Canterbury) Act 1879 so as to enable the Church Property Trustees as trustees pursuant to the said Act of the Bishopric Estate therein defined to apply income from the said Bishopric Estate towards the provision of furniture and furnishings for any residence provided for the occupation of the Bishop of Christchurch and further to direct that the costs charges and expenses of and incidental to the preparation and completion of the said Bill shall be paid out of the income of the said Bishopric Estate.

The promoter of the Bill is the said the Church Property Trustees and the address to which communications or notices to the promoter may be sent and at which a copy of the Bill may be inspected is at the offices of Elmo Connaught Champion, Solicitor for the Church Property Trustees, 183 Manchester Street, Christchurch.
