Rewewel Loan 1964, £38,000
In pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Wairere Electric Power Board hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of
principal, interest, and other charges on a loan of £38,000
known as the Renewal Loan 1964 and authorised to be
raised by the Wairere Electric Power Board under the above-
mentioned Act for the purpose of repaying on maturity
portions of the Reticulation Loan 1952, £41,000; Housing
Loan 1953, £6,000; Lines Extension Loan 1954, £27,000; and
the Building Loan 1954, £10,000, which mature in the period
1 June 1964 to 1 March 1965, the said Wairere Electric
Power Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of one
and one-tenth of a penny (1'1d.) in the pound upon the
rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of
all rateable property within the Wairere Electric Power
District; and that such special rate shall be an annually
recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be
payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every
year during the currency of such loan, being a period of
12 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy
of a resolution passed at the meeting of the Wairere Electric
Power Board held on Thursday, 16 April 1964.

SOUTH LAND CATCHMENT BOARD
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Waimea River District Redemption Loan 1964, £6,600
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by the
Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and the Soil Conservation
and Rivers Control Act 1941 and all other powers in that
behalf it enabling, the Southland Catchment Board hereby
resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on a loan of £6,600 known as the Waimea River
District Redemption Loan 1964 authorised to be raised
by the Southland Catchment Board under the above-men-
tioned Acts for the purpose of repaying the outstanding
balance of the Waimea River District Loan 1953, of £22,100,
which matures on 27 May 1964, the said Board hereby
makes and levies a special rate on a graduated scale according
to a classification made for the purposes of such rate of
the lands within that part of the Southland Catchment
District defined in the Gazette, No. 1, dated 7 January
1954, at page 60, such special rate being as follows:
Eleven decimal one nine pence (11·19d.) in the pound
(£) of the rateable unimproved value of lands classified
as class A;
Seven decimal four six pence (7·46d.) in the pound
(£) of the rateable unimproved value of lands classified
as class B; and
Three decimal seven three pence (3·73d.) in the pound
(£) of the rateable unimproved value of lands classified
as class C;
and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring
rate during the currency of such loan and shall be payable on
the 1st day of August in each and every year during the
currency of such loan, being a period of five years, or until
the loan is fully paid off.”
The foregoing resolution was passed at a meeting of the
Southland Catchment Board held on the 20th day of April
1964.

Redemption Loan No. 2, 1964, £47,000
PUBLIC notice is hereby given that at a meeting of the
Wairarapa Electric Power Board held on the 23rd day of
April 1964 the following resolution was passed:
Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Wairarapa Electric Power Board hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on
a loan of £47,000 authorised to be raised by the Wairarapa
Electric Power Board under the above-mentioned Act for the
purpose of repaying on maturity those portions of the Reticu-
lation Extension Loan 1952, Staff Housing Loan 1954, and
Reticulation Extension Loan 1954, which mature on 1 August,
22 September, and 1 October 1964, the said Wairarapa Electric
Power Board hereby makes a special rate of three one-
hundredths of a penny (3/100d.) in the pound (£) upon the
rateable value on the basis of the capital value of all rateable
property of the Wairarapa Electric Power District; and that
the special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the
currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of
September in each and every year during the currency of
the loan, being a period of 10 years, or until the loan is fully
paid off.”

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Rural Housing Loan 1964, £15,000
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Coromandel County Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on
a loan of £15,000 authorised to be raised by the Coromandel
County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the
purpose of making advances to farmers in terms of the Rural
Housing Act 1939, the said Coromandel County Council
hereby makes a special rate of 0'023d. in the pound upon the
rateable (unimproved) value of all rateable property of the
whole of the County of Coromandel; and that the special
rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency
of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in
each and every year during the currency of the loan being a
period of 20 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

THAT in pursuance of the powers vested in it in that behalf by
the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Bay of Islands
County Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the payment of principal,
interest, and other charges on a loan of three thousand five
hundred pounds (£3,500) authorised to be raised by the
Bay of Islands County Council under the above-mentioned
Act for the purpose of purchasing road machinery, the Bay
of Islands County Council hereby makes and levies a special
rate of 0·01 pence (point zero one pence) in the pound
on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value)
of all rateable property in the whole of the County of Bay
of Islands; and that such special rate shall be an annually re-
curring rate during the currency of such loan and shall be
payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every
year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 10
years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
We hereby certify that the above is a true copy of and a
correct extract from the minutes of proceedings of the Bay
of Islands County Council dated the 15th day of April 1964.

Pensioner Flats Loan No. 2, 1964, £34,100
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 the Mount
Eden Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on
a loan of £34,100 authorised to be raised by the Local Authori-
ties Loans Board under the above-mentioned Act, for the
construction of pensioner flats, the said Mount Eden Borough
Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal four three
four pence (0·434d.) in the pound upon the rateable value
(on the basis of the annual value) of all rateable property
of the Borough of Mount Eden; and that the special rate
shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the
loan, being a period of 40 years, or until the loan is fully paid
off.”
I hereby certify that the above resolution was passed at a
special meeting of the Mount Eden Borough Council held
on the 20th day of April 1964.
