GISBORNE HARBOUR BOARD
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 the Gisborne Harbour Board hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £23,600 authorised to be raised by the Gisborne Harbour Board under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of repaying the balance of the Harbour Improvement Loan 1953, £90,000, Second Part Issue £30,000, due on 1 May 1964, the said Gisborne Harbour Board hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought one nought nine three of one penny (0·01093d.) in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Gisborne Harbour District as defined by the Gisborne Harbour Board Empowering Act 1952; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan, being a period of 20 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was passed by the Gisborne Harbour Board at a special meeting held at the Board’s office, Read’s Quay, Gisborne, on 20 April 1964.

WELLINGTON CITY COUNCIL
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND
IN the matter of the Public Works Act 1928, the Municipal Corporations Act 1954, and their respective amendments, notice is hereby given that the Wellington City Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-named Acts and all other Acts, powers, and authorities enabling it in that behalf, to execute a certain public work, namely, for housing purposes at Nairn Street in the City of Wellington; and for the purpose of that public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken; and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Town Clerk to the said Council in the Municipal Office Building, Mercer Street, in the City, and is there open for inspection, without fee, by all persons during ordinary office hours, and that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said land should, if they have well grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said land, set forth the same in writing and send that writing, within 40 days from the first publication of this notice, to the Wellington City Council addressed to the Town Clerk at his said office.
SCHEDULE
ALL that piece of land situate in the City of Wellington containing by admeasurement fourteen and twelve one hundredths perches (14·12 p.), more or less, being part of Section 50, Town of Wellington, being Lot 2 on Deposited Plan No. 11759 and being also the whole of the land in certificate of title, Volume 471, folio 113, Wellington Registry.

BAY OF PLENTY ELECTRIC POWER BOARD
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND IN THE PARISH OF MATATA FOR ELECTRIC WORKS
NOTICE is hereby given that the Bay of Plenty Electric Power Board proposes, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928 and the Electric Power Boards Act 1925, to execute the public works hereunder mentioned, and, for the purposes of which public works, the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken; and notice is hereby given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited at the office of the said Board situated in Commerce Street, Whakatane, and is open for inspection, without fee, by all persons during ordinary office hours.
All persons affected by the execution of the said public works or by the taking of the said land must state their objections in writing and send the same, within forty (40) days from the first publication of this notice, to the Secretary of the said Board at the offices of the Bay of Plenty Electric Power Board, Opotiki.
SCHEDULE
1 acre 2 roods 3 perches, more or less, being part Lot 54B 2A of the Parish of Matata as more particularly shown coloured yellow on S.O. Plan No. 42598. The above land is situated on East Bank, South Road, near Edgecumbe, in the County of Whakatane, and is required for electric works.

TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953
IN the matter of the Town and Country Planning Act 1953 and in the matter of an application, under section 35 of the Act, by Noel Lewis Bryan and Hazel Margaret Bryan for consent to a specified departure from the provisions of the Horowhenua County Council’s Operative District Scheme, public notice is hereby given, pursuant to regulation 32 (8), Town and Country Planning Regulations 1960, that, on the 18th day of March 1964, the Town and Country Planning Appeal Board gave its consent to a specified departure from the provisions of the Horowhenua County Council’s Operative District Scheme by permitting the applicants to use, as a factory for the carpentry prefabrication of house lots and incidentals, the land containing 1 rood 1·7 perches, more or less, being Lot 4 on Deposited Plan 25150, part Section 78, Ngarara West A, and being part of the land comprised in certificate of title, Volume 502, folio 83 (Wellington Registry), notwithstanding that the said land is and shall remain zoned residential and subject to the following conditions:
(a) That access to the property be obtained from Parata Street by means of a right of way over Lots 2 and 3 on Deposited Plan 25150.
(b) That no machinery be operated on the premises beyond the hour of 8.30 p.m.

NOTICE is hereby given that Mary Susan Sproull Weatherall and Robert Willis Weatherall, of Coal Creek, have applied to the Warden of the Otago Mining District at Cromwell, by Application No. 18 of 1964, for a water-race licence to divert two heads of water from the Clutha River, in Block II, Teviot S.D., at a point approximately 3 chains above Coal Creek, by a race approximately 360 yards long in a north-westerly direction through River Bank Reserve and Section 139, Block II (freehold of F. J. Tamblyn), and Section 119, Block II (freehold of applicants) for irrigation, frostfighting, and domestic supply. The application will be heard at the Warden’s Court, Cromwell, on Wednesday, the 17th day of June 1964, at 10 a.m.
Objections must be filed in the registrar’s office and notified to the applicants at their address for service, care of Mrs M. S. S. Weatherall, Coal Creek, R.D., Roxburgh, at least three days before the time so appointed.

TAKE notice that Justin Thomas Lynch, of Wellington, journalist, and Mary Margaret Lynch, of Queenstown, shop assistant, have made application for a licence for a water race commencing in a spring on Run 32, Queenstown Hill, two chains from the north-eastern boundary of section 17, Block XXI, Shotover Survey District, and thence running south 2 chains in an unnamed race to applicants’ freehold, being the said Section 17, Block XXI.
