Reservation of Land and Vesting in the Rotorua County
Council
PURSUANT to the Land Act 1948, the Minister of Lands hereby
sets apart the land described in the Schedule hereto as a
reserve for recreation purposes and, further, pursuant to the
Reserves and Domains Act 1953, vests the said reserve in the
Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of
Rotorua, in trust, for that purpose.

SECTION 63, Block I, Kaingaroa Survey District: Area, 24

Notice Relating to the Use of Insecticides (Notice No. Ag.
7952)
PURSUANT to clause 3 (2) of the Stock (Insecticides and
Oestrogens) Regulations 1961,* the Minister of Agriculture
hereby gives notice that the chemical specified in the Schedule
hereto is approved for use as an active ingredient in any
insecticide registered under the Stock Remedies Act 1934,
subject to the use of that insecticide in the manner prescribed
by the proprietor, for the control or destruction of arthropod
parasites or other insects on cattle.

Scheme of Control of Takapuna Grammar School
PURSUANT to section 92 of the Education Act 1914, the
Minister of Education hereby revokes the approval of the
scheme of control of Takapuna Grammar School, published
in the Gazette of 12 May 1955, Volume II, page 770, and
approves of Takapuna Grammar School being controlled in
accordance with the Standard Scheme of Control for Secondary
Schools 1961:*
Provided that:
(a) The Standard Scheme shall be read as if the clause
set out in the Schedule hereto were inserted after
clause 8:
(b) Clause 18 of the said Standard Scheme shall be read
as if the words “every member shall hold office
until the 31st day of May in the third year after
the year of his election or appointment” were
omitted, and the words “every member shall hold
office until the 31st day of May in the year 1964
and every member elected or appointed in the year
1964 or later shall hold office until the 31st day
of May in the third year after his election or
appointment” were substituted therefor.
SCHEDULE
CLAUSE to be inserted in Standard Scheme:
“8. (a) The appointment of the members to represent the
Auckland University College Council and the Old Pupils’
Association of the school shall be made in each case by
resolution passed by the said Council or the Executive Committee of the said Old Pupils’ Association, as the case may
be, before or during the month of May in the year 1964 and
in that month every third year thereafter, and the name of
every member so appointed shall forthwith be notified to
the Board.”

pleased to approve the retention of the title of “Honourable”
by Sir Frank Leon Aroha Gotz, K.c.v.o., and Mr William
Blair Tennent, who have served for more than three years as
Members of the Executive Council of New Zealand.
- A notification to this effect will be published in the
London Gazette.

Amending Notice to the Open Season for Game in Certain
Acclimatisation Districts
The Minister of Internal Affairs hereby gives notice that the
notice published in the Gazette, No. 8, of 20 February 1964,
at page 220, relating to the open season for game in certain
acclimatisation districts, is amended as follows:
- In that portion of the Second Schedule which relates to
the Tauranga Acclimatisation District—
By adding the following closed game area:
(2) 17 acres 1 rood 30 perches, more or less, being a
triangular piece of land between the Wharere and Kaikokopu
Canals and including that portion of the Kaikokopu Canal
adjoining the north-western side of the said triangular piece
of land, and being part of the Waewaetutuki Section 8
Block comprised and described in Volume 105, folio 14 of
the (provisional) Register Book, South Auckland Registry,
being land under purchase by the Tauranga Acclimatisation
Society.
- In that portion of the second Schedule which relates
to the Rotorua Acclimatisation District—
By deleting the following closed game areas:
(12) Section 6s, Apanui Settlement, Waioeka, Opotiki, containing 65 acres and being the property of Mr C. L. De Latour.
(23) All that area comprising parts 3, 4, and 6 of the Maraetaha No. 2, Nuhaka Survey District, containing 2,561
acres, being Gisborne Borough Council’s Waterworks Reserve.
Also all that area comprising part Nuhaka North Survey
District, Section 1, Block VI: 566 acres 2 roods 5 perches;
Block VII, Nuhaka North Survey District, Puninga 3B 1,
Section 3R, Block VIII, Nuhaka North Survey District, part
Puninga 3A, 2, 3D, 2, parts Maraetaha 2c, and part of Maraetaha No. 2, Section 3: 515 acres and 27·3 perches.
(30) The property of Mr Collier, Wainui Road, Ohiwa.
- In that portion of the Second Schedule which relates
to the Mangonui-Whangaroa Acclimatisation District—
By deleting the duration of the 1964 season for Californian
and Australian quail, and cock pheasants of 2 May to 7
June inclusive and substituting 2 May to 28 June inclusive.
By deleting the following closed game areas:
(13) All Whakakoro B 1, Block XII, Whangape Survey
District; Whakakoro E Nos. 1 and 2c, F 5c, No. 3 Block
IV, Herekino Survey District; and Block XI, Whangape Survey
District. Present occupier: Frank A. Geddes.
(20) Rawhitiroa B and Whakakoro F 1–3, Block IV,
Herekino Survey District; Whakakoro A 1, Block XI, Whangape Survey District; Whakakore F 5c, 2B, Block XI, Whangape Survey District; and Block IV, Herekino Survey District,
Sections 1, 2, and 5, Block I, Takahue Survey District; part
Lots 5 and all D.P. 23213 of part Ruaroa Block, Block
