Appointments, Promotions, and Terminations of Appointment in the Royal New Zealand Naval Volunteer Reserve
His Excellency the Governor-General has, pursuant to the Navy Act 1954, approved the following appointments, promotions, and terminations of appointment in the Royal New Zealand Naval Volunteer Reserve.
Temporary Lieutenant Commander (Sp) T. K. Anderson, commission terminated on ceasing duty as Naval Relations Officer, Whangarei, 23 December 1963.
Temporary Lieutenant Commander (Sp) A. M. Finlayson, commission terminated on ceasing duty with the Sea Cadet Corps, 29 February 1964.
Acting Lieutenant J. D. Hughes, confirmed in rank with seniority, 30 November 1962.
Lieutenant (S) S. N. F. Bates, commission terminated (at own request), 20 January 1964.
Lieutenant (S) A. J. Perry, promoted to Lieutenant Commander (S), 21 March 1964.
Sub-Lieutenant N. B. Watson, promoted to Acting Lieutenant, 1 January 1964.
Sub-Lieutenant T. V. Solomon, promoted to Acting Lieutenant, 1 January 1964.
Temporary Sub-Lieutenant (Sp) P. J. Quin, commission terminated on ceasing duty with the Sea Cadet Corps, 31 December 1963.
Major Sydney Halliday, N.Z.C.C., entered as Temporary Lieutenant Commander (Sp) with seniority 4 February 1962 and appointed for duty with Rotorua High School Cadet Battalion, 28 January 1964.
Erik George Wiig, entered as Probationary Lieutenant (E) with seniority 22 January 1964 and appointed HMNZS Toroa, 22 January 1964.

PURSUANT to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister of Lands hereby appoints the
Hauraki Catchment Board
