FEATHERSTON COUNTY COUNCIL
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND
IN the matter of the Counties Act 1956 and in the matter of the Public Works Act 1928, notice is hereby given that the Featherston County Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, to execute a certain public work, namely, the realignment and widening of a public road; and for the purpose of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken; and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited at the public office of the Clerk of the said Council, situated at Kitchener Street, Martinborough, and is open for inspection without fee by all persons during ordinary office hours. All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of such land who have any objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said land (not being an objection to the amount or payment of compensation) must state their objections in writing and send the same, within 40 days from the first publication of this notice, to the County Clerk at the Council Chambers, Kitchener Street, Martinborough.

WAIPARA COUNTY COUNCIL
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND FOR THE PURPOSE OF A ROAD
NOTICE is hereby given that the Waipara County Council proposes, in pursuance of the Public Works Act 1928, to take the land described in the Schedule hereto for the purposes of a road; and notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Waipara County Council at Waikari and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the taking of the said land should, if they have any objections to the taking of such land, not being objections to the amount or payment of compensation, set forth the same in writing and send such written objection, within 40 days from the first publication of this notice, to the Clerk of the Waipara County Council at the Council’s offices at Waikari.

ALL that piece of land situated in Block XII, Waipara Survey District, Canterbury R.D., containing 2 roods 36 perches, being part of Rural Section 9784, part being part of Lot 4 on Deposited Plan 453 and being that block of land in the township of Waikari having frontages of 100 links to Princes Street and 101 links to the Waiau-Waipara Railway respectively with a depth of 719·05 links on the west boundary and a depth of 733·42 links on the east boundary and being the balance of the land in certificates of title, Volume 193, folio 238, and Volume 222, folio 240 (Canterbury Land Registry); as the same is more particularly shown on Survey Office Plan 10229, and thereon coloured orange.

PALMERSTON NORTH CITY COUNCIL
TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953
Departure From Operative District Scheme
PUBLIC notice is hereby given pursuant to the provisions of the Town and Country Planning Act 1953 and its amendments, and of the regulations made thereunder, that the Town and Country Planning Appeal Board, by Order dated the 17th day of December 1963, has consented to a specified departure from the provisions of the Palmerston North City Council’s operative district scheme by T. R. Richardson and Sons, to develop their property situated at 101 Ferguson Street, being Lot 2 on Deposited Plan 19010, the development to be subject to the following conditions:
(a) That the running of heavy machinery be confined to the buildings, and the applicants shall make every endeavour to provide in construction a minimum of openings in the form of doors to minimise the transmission of such noise.
(b) That a suitable warning device be provided in each workshop and in any area where men may be working and require notification of time at a volume that will not cause any nuisance, so that the loud siren sounds throughout the day be eliminated.
(c) That the applicants provide suitable screening so that the floodlights will not cause inconvenience to the neighbouring homes.
(d) That off-street parking be provided so that workers’ cars do not park in Ferguson Street in front of the adjoining residential properties.
(e) That an 8 ft wall be constructed to screen adjoining properties.

PALMERSTON NORTH CITY COUNCIL
TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953
Variation to the Palmerston North District Scheme Approved
PURSUANT to the Town and Country Planning Regulations 1960, public notice is hereby given that the district scheme under the Town and Country Planning Act 1953 for part of Main Street, part of Clausen Street, and part of Edgeware Road, was varied by the Council by resolution passed at its meeting held on the 24th day of February 1964, after all objections, appeals, and arbitration relating to the scheme had been disposed of.
The Council has also resolved that the variations shall come into operation on the 28th day of February 1964.
Copies of the scheme as approved have been deposited in the Council’s office and in every public library in the district and may be inspected without fee by any person who so requires at any time when these places are open to the public.

CITY OF CHRISTCHURCH
TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953
Change of District Scheme—Section One (Zoning)
PUBLIC notice is hereby given that, pursuant to a resolution of the Council on 5 February 1964, the Council has recommended that the operative district scheme be changed in respect of the matter listed in the Schedule hereto.
The change of the district scheme as now recommended by the Council is deposited in the Council offices, 194 Manchester Street, and the Public Library, and may be inspected without charge during usual office hours.
Objections to the proposed changes of the district scheme may be made in written notice on form E prescribed in the Schedule to the Town and Country Planning Regulations 1960, or to the like effect marked “Objection to Scheme Change”, and lodged at the offices of the Council at any time not later than noon on Thursday, 16 April 1964.
At a later date every objection will be open for public inspection. Any person who wishes to support or oppose any objection will then be entitled to be heard at the hearing of objections if he notifies the Council in writing within a period of which public notice will be given.
