TARANAKI COUNTY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Glenavon Water Supply Area Loan 1963, £3,000
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Taranaki County Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £3,000 authorised to be raised by the Taranaki County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of improving the water reticulation in the Glenavon Water Supply Area, the said Taranaki County Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal four seven seven pence (·477d.) in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Glenavon Water Supply Area, and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 4th day of August in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 30 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

ELTHAM COUNTY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Rural Housing Reimbursement Loan 1963, £11,000
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Eltham County Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £11,000, authorised to be raised by the Eltham County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of making a reimbursement to the County Fund account, the said County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 0·76011 of one penny in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the County of Eltham; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly.”

ASHBURTON ELECTRIC POWER AND GAS BOARD
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Reticulation Loan £80,000, 1963
PUBLIC notice is hereby given that at a meeting of the Ashburton Electric Power and Gas Board held on the 17th day of February 1964, the following resolution was passed:
Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Ashburton Electric Power and Gas Board hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £80,000 authorised to be raised by the Ashburton Electric Power and Gas Board under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of supplying and distributing electrical energy for the benefit of the Ashburton Electric Power District, and for such purposes to do all or any of such matters and things which the Board is empowered to do by the Electric Power Boards Act 1925 and its amendments, and by all other powers and authorities it enabling, the said Ashburton Electric Power and Gas Board hereby makes a special rate of 0·047d. in the pound (£) upon the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in the Ashburton Electric Power District; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of September and the 1st day of March (or yearly on the 1st day of March) in each year and every year during the currency of the loan, being for a period of 20 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

BULLER ELECTRIC POWER BOARD
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Buller Electric Power Board hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £10,000 authorised to be raised by the Buller Electric Power Board under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of constructing a transmission line to Charleston and reticulating the Charleston area, the said Buller Electric Power Board hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought four five of a penny (·045d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in the Buller Electric Power District, comprising part of the County of Buller and the whole of the Borough
of Westport; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of March in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 20 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

WAIMEA ELECTRIC POWER BOARD
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Waimea Electric Power Board hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £22,000, known as Murchison Reticulation Loan, 1963, authorised to be raised by the Waimea Electric Power Board under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of constructing electric works and line extensions, the said Waimea Electric Power Board hereby makes a special rate of 1/70d. (one seventieth of one penny) in the £ upon the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property of the Waimea Electric Power District; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 20 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
I hereby certify that the foregoing is a true copy of a resolution passed by the Waimea Electric Power Board on 19 February 1964.

NOTICE OF MAKING SPECIAL RATE
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Manurewa Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing annual charges on a loan of £80,000 authorised to be raised by Manurewa Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of reconstructing and sealing borough streets, the said Manurewa Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal four three nine pence (·439d.) in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Borough of Manurewa, comprising the whole of the Borough of Manurewa, and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of this loan, being a period of 20 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

“That, for the purpose of providing annual charges on a loan of £6,065 authorised to be raised by Manurewa Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of purchasing that part of David Nathan Park which the Council has acquired in excess of the normal reserve entitlement on subdivision, the said Manurewa Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought three three three pence (·333d.) in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Borough of Manurewa, comprising the whole of the Borough of Manurewa, and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of this loan, being a period of 20 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND
IN the matter of the Public Works Act 1928, public notice is hereby given that the Waikato County Council proposes, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to take for road the portion of land described in the First Schedule hereto and to stop the portions of road described in the Second Schedule hereto. A plan of the portion of land proposed to be taken and the portions of road proposed to be stopped is open for public inspection at the office of the Waikato County Council, Grey Street, Hamilton East, during forty (40) days from the date of the first publication of this notice. All persons objecting to the proposal must lodge their objections in writing at the office of the Council on or before the 2nd day of April 1964.
