Roads Excluded From Speed Limitation and Limited Speed Zones Declared

PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives notice as follows:

  1. That—
    (a) so much of the Warrant under section 3 of the Motor Vehicles Amendment Act 1936 dated the 6th day of October 1937* as relates to Masterton Borough; and
    (b) the Warrant under section 36 of the Transport Act 1949 dated the 14th day of December 1949† which relates to roads in Masterton Borough formerly in Masterton County; and
    (c) the Warrant under regulation 27 of the Traffic Regulations 1956|| dated the 30th day of July 1959‡ which relates to South Belt Road in Masterton Borough formerly in Masterton County; and
    (d) the Warrant under section 36 of the Transport Act 1949 and Regulation 27 of the Traffic Regulations [1956]§ dated the 13th day of September 1957§ which relates to High Street in Masterton Borough;
    are hereby revoked.
  2. The roads specified in the First Schedule hereto are hereby excluded from the limitation as to speed imposed by section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.
  3. The roads specified in the Second Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be limited speed zones for the purposes of the Traffic Regulations 1956||.

FIRST SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Masterton Borough:
No. 2 State Highway (Pokeno-Wellington via Gisborne) (from Fleet Street to the western boundary of Masterton Borough).
Colombo Road (from Te Ore Ore Road to the bridge over the Waipoua River).
Judds Road.
South Belt Road.
Gordon Street (from the northern boundary of Masterton Borough to a point 6 chains measured south-westerly generally along the said street from Kitchener Street).

SECOND SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Masterton Borough:
No. 2 State Highway (Pokeno-Wellington via Gisborne) (from Fleet Street to South Belt Road).
Colombo Road (from Te Ore Ore Road to the bridge over the Waipoua River).
Judds Road (from the No. 2 State Highway (Pokeno-Wellington via Gisborne) to a point 20 chains measured north-westerly generally along the said road from the said State Highway).
South Belt Road.

Crown Land Set Apart for Railway Purposes at Mount Maunganui

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, the Minister of Railways hereby declares the land described in the Schedule hereto to be set apart for railway purposes from and after the 2nd day of March 1964.

Additional Land at Mount Maunganui Taken for the Purposes of the East Coast Main Trunk Railway

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, the Minister of Railways hereby declares that, a sufficient agreement to that effect having been entered into, the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of the East Coast Main Trunk Railway from and after the 2nd day of March 1964.
