of the Central Agency Ltd., a company incorporated in
Scotland having its registered office at 89 Wellington Street,
Glasgow C.2., Scotland, and having a place of business in
New Zealand, the company hereby gives notice of its
intention, at the expiration of three months from the first
publication of this notice, to cease to have a place of business
in New Zealand.

COUNTY OF HOROWHENUA

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it
in that behalf by the Counties Act 1956 and amendments, the
Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and amendments, and the
Rural Housing Act 1939 and amendments and regulations
thereunder, and all other powers thereunto enabling it, the
Horowhenua County Council hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on
a loan of twelve thousand pounds (£12,000) authorised to be
raised by the Horowhenua County Council under the above-
mentioned Acts for the purpose of making advances to farmers
in terms of the Rural Housing Act 1939, the said Horowhenua
County Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought
three two pence (0.032d.) in the pound upon the rateable value
(on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable
property in the County of Horowhenua; and that the special
rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency
of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in
each and every year during the currency of the said loan
or until the loan is fully paid off."

Certified copy of a resolution passed at a meeting of the
Horowhenua County Council held on the 11th day of December
1963.

MOSGIEL BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Mosgiel Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges
on a loan of £18,700 authorised to be raised by the Mosgiel
Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the
purpose of repaying on maturity that portion of the Public
Works Loan 1950 which matures on 15 February 1964,
the said Mosgiel Borough Council hereby makes a special
rate of decimal five pence (0.5d.) in the pound (£) upon
the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value)
of all rateable property of the Borough of Mosgiel; and that
the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the
currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of
April in each and every year during the currency of
the loan, being a period of twelve (12) years, or until the
loan is fully paid off."

The above resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the
Mosgiel Borough Council held on the 2nd day of December
1963.

BLENHEIM BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Sewerage Mains Extension Loan 1963, £95,000

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and all other
Acts and powers enabling it in that behalf, the Blenheim
Borough Council doth hereby resolve as follows:

"That, for the purpose of securing the interest and other
charges on a loan of ninety-five thousand pounds (£95,000)
authorised to be raised by the Blenheim Borough Council
under the above-mentioned Act for providing sewerage
reticulation in portions of the Borough, the said Council
hereby makes and levies a special rate of five hundred and
twenty-one one-thousandths of a penny (0.521d.) in the
pound (£) on the unimproved rateable value of all rateable
property within the Borough of Blenheim; and that such
special rate shall be an annually recurring rate payable on
demand in each and every year during the currency of the
said loan, being a period of twenty-five (25) years, or until
the said loan is fully paid off; and the said Council doth
hereby appropriate and pledge the said special rate as
security for the above loan."

I hereby certify that the above resolution was passed at a
special meeting of the Blenheim Borough Council held on
the 12th day of December 1963.

GISBORNE CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Renewal Loan 1963 of £112,700

Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Gisborne City Council hereby resolves as follows:

"That for the purpose of providing the annual charges on
a loan of £112,700 authorised to be raised by the Gisborne
City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose
of repaying on maturity those portions of the Water Supply
Pipeline Replacement Loan 1952, Street Improvements Loan
1952, Bridges Loan 1952, and Civic Centre Loan 1952, which
mature on 17 February 1964, the said Gisborne City Council
hereby makes a special rate of 0.344d. in the pound on the
unimproved value of all rateable property within the City
of Gisborne; and that the special rate shall be an annual-
recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable
yearly on the first day of August in each and every year
during the currency of the loan, being a period of 20 years,
or until the loan is fully paid off."

The foregoing resolution was passed at a meeting of the
Gisborne City Council held on 11 December 1963.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Housing Loan 1963, £7,000

Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Eastbourne Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges
on a loan of seven thousand pounds (£7,000) authorised to be
raised by the Eastbourne Borough Council under the above-
mentioned Act to provide accommodation for Council staff,
the said Eastbourne Borough Council hereby makes a special
rate of point one four pence (0.14d.) in the pound upon the
rateable unimproved value of all rateable property of the
whole of the Borough of Eastbourne; and that the special
rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency
of the loan, being a period of 20 years, or until the loan is
fully paid off."

Passed at a meeting of the Council held on the 21st day
of November 1963.
