AKAROA COUNTY COUNCIL


RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE


Recreational Reserve Loan 1963, £15,000

THAT, in pursuance of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Counties Act 1956, the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, and all amendments thereto, the Akaroa County Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £15,000 authorised to be raised by the Akaroa County Council under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts for the purpose of purchasing an area of land (106 acres 3 roods 16 perches, more or less) in Duvauchelle, within the County of Akaroa, to be used as a centrally situated recreation reserve, the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of decimal nought seven nought seven of a penny (0·0707d.) in the pound on the rateable value of all the rateable property (on the basis of the capital value) comprising the whole of the County of Akaroa; that such rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the said loan and shall be payable on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the said loan, being for a period of 20 years, or until the said loan is wholly repaid.”

UPPER HUTT BOROUGH COUNCIL


RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE


Water Supply (No. 2) Renewal Loan 1963, £32,000

“THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Upper Hutt Borough Council, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £32,000 authorised to be raised by the Upper Hutt Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of repaying on maturity those portions of the Water Supply Loan No. 2 1953, which mature on 2 February 1964 and 21 May 1964, the said Upper Hutt Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one hundred and seventy-three thousandths of a penny in the pound (0·173d. in the £) on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Borough of Upper Hutt; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year until the loan is fully repaid.”

The foregoing resolution was passed at the ordinary meeting of the Upper Hutt Borough Council held in the Council Chambers, Main Road, Upper Hutt, on Tuesday, the 26th day of November 1963.

KAITAIA BOROUGH COUNCIL


RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE


I, Earle Lewis Worke Reid, Town Clerk of the Kaitaia Borough Council, do hereby certify that the following resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the said Council held in Kaitaia on 27 November 1963:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on the Water Improvement Loan 1963, £28,000, authorised to be raised by the Kaitaia Borough Council under the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 for the purpose of improving the water supply and storage by constructing a dam, water main, pumping station, and ancillary works, the Council hereby makes a special rate of seventy-five hundredths of a penny (0·75d.) in the pound (on the basis of unimproved value) upon all the rateable property in the Borough of Kaitaia; and that the special rate shall be an annually recurring rate and be payable on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 25 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

HOWICK BOROUGH COUNCIL


RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE


Sewerage Reticulation 1963, £123,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Howick Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing annual charges on the loan of £123,000 authorised to be raised by the Howick Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of providing sewerage reticulation in areas 1, 2, and 6 of the borough, the Howick Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of 0·788d. (decimal seven eight eight pence) in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Borough of Howick comprising the whole of the borough; and that a special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable half yearly on the 1st day of August 1964 and 1st day of February 1965 in each and every year during the currency of the loan for a period of 30 years (thirty years) or until the loan is fully paid off.”

BAY OF ISLANDS COUNTY COUNCIL


RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE


Bridges Loan 1963, £5,000

THAT, in pursuance of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Bay of Islands County Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of principal interest and other charges on a loan of five thousand pounds (£5,000) authorised to be raised by the Bay of Islands Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of erecting and replacing bridges in the Bay of Islands County, the Bay of Islands County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 0·1 pence (point one pence) in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the whole of the County of Bay of Islands; and that such special rate be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 10 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

The common seal of the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Bay of Islands was hereunto affixed at the office of and pursuant to a resolution of the Bay of Islands County Council in the presence of:

TAWA BOROUGH COUNCIL


RESOLUTIONS MAKING SPECIAL RATES


PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Tawa Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“(1) That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £5,000 authorised to be raised by the Tawa Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of financing a dwelling for an employee, the said Tawa Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of 0·054d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the whole of the Borough of Tawa; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and be payable half yearly on the 1st day of October and the 1st day of July in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 30 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

“(2) That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £5,500 authorised to be raised by the Tawa Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of extending the community centre to provide a stage and dressing rooms, the said Tawa Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of 0.1d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the whole of the Borough of Tawa; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable half yearly on the 1st day of December and the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 25 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
