RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Renewal Loan 1963, £24,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the South Canterbury Electric Power Board hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of twenty-four thousand pounds (£24,000) authorised to be raised by the South Canterbury Electric Power Board under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of repaying on maturity that portion of the Electricity Development Loan 1957 which matures on 1 March 1964, the said South Canterbury Electric Power Board hereby makes a special rate of fifteen thousandths of one penny (0·015d.) in the pound (£1) upon the rateable value (being the capital value) of all rateable property within the South Canterbury Electric Power District as defined in the Third Schedule to the Proclamation dated 23 August 1957 and published in the Gazette on 29 August 1957, at page 1575; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of March in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of eight years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

IN the matter of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954 and the Public Works Act 1928, notice is hereby given that the Wanganui City Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, to execute a certain public work, namely, the acquisition of certain land for street and, for the purpose of such public work, the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken; and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited at the public office of the Town Clerk to the said Council situate in St. Hill Street in the City of Wanganui and is open for inspection, without fee, by all persons during ordinary office hours.

All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of such land who have any well founded objection to the execution of the said public work or the taking of the said lands must state their objections in writing and send the same, within forty (40) days from the first publication of this notice, to the Town Clerk at the City Council Chambers, St. Hill Street, Wanganui.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

IN the matter of section 22 of the Public Works Act 1928, public notice is hereby given that the New Plymouth City Council proposes to provide land for the purposes of an aerodrome and for such purposes requires to take, in accordance with the provisions of the above-mentioned Act, all those pieces of land situated at Brown Road, Bell Block, in the County of Taranaki, and described in the Schedule hereto, such pieces of land being shown on the plan deposited at the office of the said Council situated in Liardet Street, New Plymouth, and there open for inspection at all reasonable hours.

Every person affected is required to set forth in writing any objection he may wish to make to the taking of the lands or any of the lands, not being an objection to the amount or payment of compensation, and to send the written objection, within 40 days from the first publication of the notice, to the said Council at its said office.
