HOROWHENUA ELECTRIC POWER BOARD

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

In pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and its amendments, and of all other powers it thereunto enabling, the Horowhenua Electric Power Board hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing for the repayment of the principal, interest, and other charges on the Board’s Electric Reticulation Loan No. 14, 1963, of £100,000 authorised to be raised by the Horowhenua Electric Power Board under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of supplying and distributing electrical energy for the benefit of the Horowhenua Electric Power Board District and for such purposes to do all or any of such matters and things which the Board is empowered to do by the Electric Power Boards Act 1925 and its amendments, and by all other powers and authorities it enabling, the Horowhenua Electric Power Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1/22d. (one twenty-second of a penny) in the pound (£1) upon the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in the Horowhenua Electric Power Board District; such special rate to be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the said loan and be payable yearly on the ist day of December in each and every year, being a period of 20 years, or until the loan is fully repaid".

BOROUGH OF MILTON

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Sewerage Loan 1962, £92,000 PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Milton Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purposes of providing the annual charges on a loan of ninety-two thousand pounds (£92,000) authorised to be raised by the Milton Borough Council under the abovementioned Act for the purpose of installing a sewage-treatment plant and sewerage reticulation throughout the Borough, the said Milton Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of one shilling and eleven pence (1s. 11d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value on the basis of the annual value of all the rateable property in the Borough of Milton comprising the whole of the Borough of Milton; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of twenty-five (25) years, or until the loan is fully paid off."

TAURANGA ELECTRIC POWER BOARD

RESOLUTION LEVYING SPECIAL RATE

Renewal Loan No. 2, 1963, £30,000 "THAT, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest and principal and other charges in respect of the Tauranga Electric Power Board Renewal Loan No. 2, 1963, £30,000, authorised to be raised by resolution under the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 for the purpose of repaying on maturity that portion of the Electrical Extension Loan 1953 which matures on 26 January 1964, the Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of 2/17 of a penny in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Tauranga Electric Power District; and that such special rate shall be payable on 26 January in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 10 years, or until the loan is fully paid off." We hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of a resolution passed by the Board on 20 November 1963.

TAURANGA ELECTRIC POWER BOARD

RESOLUTION LEVYING SPECIAL RATE

Electrical Extension Loan 1963 "THAT, for the purpose of providing for the payment of the principal and interest and other charges in respect of the Tauranga Electric Power Board Electrical Extension Loan, 1963, £70,000, authorised to be raised by the Tauranga Electric Power Board by special order under the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 for the purpose of providing additional moneys for supplying and distributing electrical energy throughout the Board’s district, the Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1/5 of a penny in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Tauranga Electric Power District; and that such special rate shall be payable on the 1st day of December in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 15 years, or until the loan is fully paid off." We hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of a resolution passed by the Board on 20 November 1963.

LOWER HUTT CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION TO MAKE SPECIAL RATE

Property Acquisition Loan 1963, £45,000 THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Lower Hutt City Council hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of forty-five thousand pounds (£45,000) authorised to be raised by the Lower Hutt City Council under the abovementioned Act for the purpose of meeting compensation for properties to be acquired for civic development and for streets, the said Lower Hutt City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of two hundred and seventy thousandths of a penny (0.270d.) in the pound (£) on the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value) of all rateable property in the City of Lower Hutt; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be incorporated and added to the consolidated special rate, made pursuant to the provisions of section 108A of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954, and be payable yearly on or about the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 25 years, or until such time as the loan is paid off." I hereby certify that the above resolution was duly passed at the meeting of the Lower Hutt City Council held on 26 November 1963.

BOROUGH OF MANUREWA

NOTICE OF MAKING OF SPECIAL RATE

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Manurewa Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing annual charges on a loan of £3,000 authorised to be raised by Manurewa Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of purchasing land on which to erect pensioners’ flats, the said Manurewa Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of nought decimal nought one three two pence (0.0132d.) in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Borough of Manurewa comprising the whole of the Borough of Manurewa; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of this loan, being a period of 35 years, or until the loan is fully paid off."

CHRISTCHURCH CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Electricity Extension Loan 1963, £400,000 IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and its amendments and all other powers it in that behalf enabling, the Christchurch City Council hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing principal, interest, and other charges on a loan of four hundred thousand pounds (£400,000) authorised to be raised by the Christchurch City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of extending the distribution system and electrical reticulation of the Council’s electricity undertaking, the said Christchurch City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of four thousand, six hundred and forty-one twenty-five thousandths of a penny (4641/25000d.) in the pound (£0.0007735) on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property comprised within the City of Christchurch; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate payable on demand during the currency of the said loan, being a period of twenty (20) years, or until the loan is fully paid off." The Christchurch City Council, at a meeting held on the 20th day of November 1963, passed the above resolution.
