Setting Apart Maori Freehold Land as a Maori Reservation

At the Government House at Wellington this 18th day of November 1963
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 439 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby sets apart the Maori freehold land described in the Schedule hereto as a Maori reservation for the purpose of a marae and meeting place for the common use and benefit of the members of the Ngati-Motai tribe.

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby consents to the borrowing by the local authorities mentioned in the Schedule hereto by way of loan of the whole or any part of the respective amounts specified in that Schedule.

The Gisborne High Schools Board of Governors Order 1963

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government House at Wellington this 4th day of November 1963
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 90 of the Education Act 1914, as amended by section 10 of the Education Amendment Act 1952, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.
ORDER
-
(1) This order may be cited as the Gisborne High Schools Board of Governors Order 1963.
(2) This order shall come into force on the 1st day of August 1964. -
The constitution of the Board of Governors of the Gisborne High Schools prescribed by section 90 of the Education Act 1914 is hereby varied so that the schools shall be controlled by a Board of Governors constituted as follows:
(a) One member appointed by the Hawke’s Bay Education Board;
(b) Two members elected by the parents of the pupils of each of the schools under the control of the Board;
(c) Two members appointed by the Cook County Council;
(d) Two members appointed by the Gisborne City Council; and
(e) Two members appointed by the Board itself.

The Thames High School Board of Governors Order 1963

PURSUANT to section 90 of the Education Act 1914, as amended by section 10 of the Education Amendment Act 1952, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.
ORDER
-
(1) This order may be cited as the Thames High School Board of Governors Order 1963.
(2) This order shall come into force on the 1st day of June 1964. -
The constitution of the Board of Governors of the Thames High School prescribed by section 90 of the Education Act 1914 is hereby varied so that the school shall be controlled by a Board of Governors constituted as follows:
(a) One member appointed by the South Auckland Education Board;
(b) Six members elected by the parents of the pupils attending the school under the control of the Board;
(c) One member appointed by the Thames Borough Council;
(d) One member elected by the members of the School Committees of the Kopu Public School, the Kopuarahi Public School, the Matatoki Public School, the Puriri Public School, the Puru Public School, the Tapu Public School, the Thames Central Public School, the Thames North Public School, the Thames South Public School, and the Turua Public School;
(e) One member appointed by the Board itself, if and when it thinks fit.
- The Minister of Education may, from time to time, by notice in the Gazette, amend the list of schools to which paragraph (d) of clause 2 of this Order applies.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 90 of the Education Act 1914, as amended by section 10 of the Education Amendment Act 1952, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.
ORDER
-
(1) This order may be cited as the Waitaki High School Board of Governors Order 1963.
(2) This order shall come into force on the 1st day of July 1964. -
The constitution of the Waitaki High School Board, prescribed by section 90 of the Education Act 1914, is hereby varied so that all schools for the time being under the control of that Board shall be controlled by a Board of Governors constituted as follows:
(a) One member appointed by the Otago Education Board;
(b) Three members elected by the parents of the pupils attending the Waitaki Boys’ High School;
(c) Three members elected by the parents of the pupils attending the Waitaki Girls’ High School;
(d) One member appointed by the Oamaru Borough Council;
(e) One member appointed by the Waitaki County Council;
(f) One member appointed by the Waitaki High School Old Boys’ Association;
(g) One member appointed by the Waitaki High School Old Girls’ Association.
