the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property
of the Borough of East Coast Bays; and that such special
rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of
the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of March in
each and every year during the currency of the loan, being
for a period of twenty-five years (25), or until the loan is
fully paid off.”

The foregoing resolution was duly passed at a meeting of
the East Coast Bays Borough Council held on the 6th day
of November 1963.

HENDERSON BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Waterworks Redemption Loan 1963 of £3,900

THE following resolution was duly passed at a special meeting
of the Henderson Borough Council held on the 22nd day
of July 1963:

Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Henderson Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges
on the loan of £3,900 authorised to be raised by the Henderson
Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the
purpose of repaying on maturity that portion of the Water-
works Additional Loan 1953 of £5,500 which matured on 3
July 1963, the said Henderson Borough Council hereby makes
a special rate of decimal zero nine pence (0·09d.) in the
pound on the rateable unimproved value of all rateable
property in the Borough of Henderson; and that such special
rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of
the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of June
in each and every year during the currency of the loan,
being a period of 15 years, or until the loan is fully paid
off; and that such special rate is hereby permanently
appropriated and pledged as security for the purpose of
securing the said loan of £3,900 and interest thereon at the
rate of five and three-eighths per cent (5⅜ per cent) per
annum.”

OTAHUHU BOROUGH COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

In the matter of the Public Works Act 1928 and in the
matter of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954 and its
Amendments.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Otahuhu Borough Council
proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts,
to execute a certain public work, namely, the construction
of pensioner flats, and for the purposes of such public work
the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to
be taken.

And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land
so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the
Town Clerk to the said Council situate in Princes Street,
Otahuhu, and is open for inspection, without fee, by all
persons during ordinary office hours.

In the matter of the Public Works Act 1928 and
Amendments and the Counties Act 1956 and Amendments.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Waitemata County Council
proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts,
to execute a certain work, namely, the construction and
formation of a quarry passing through or adjoining the parcels
of land referred to in the Schedule hereunder and situated at
Flat Top Quarry in the Kaukapakapa Riding of the County
of Waitemata, and for the purposes of such public work the
lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be
taken.

And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the lands
so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the
Clerk of the said Council situated in the Council Chambers,
199 Karangahape Road, Auckland, and is open for inspection
(without fee) by all persons during ordinary office hours.

All persons having any well grounded objections to the
execution of the said public work or to the taking of the
said lands and wishing them to be considered must state
