PALMERSTON NORTH CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

City Development Loan 1963, £187,700—First Issue of £100,000

THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and its amendments, and all other powers in that behalf thereunto enabling it, the Palmerston North City Council doth hereby resolve as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of one hundred thousand pounds (£100,000) authorised to be raised by the Palmerston North City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of providing sewers, water mains, and drainage; constructing and reconstructing roads and footpaths; and straightening watercourses, the said Palmerston North City Council hereby makes a special rate of one hundred and seventy-one thousandths of a penny (0·171d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value (upon the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property of the City of Palmerston North; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of ten (10) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of the resolution passed by the Palmerston North City Council on the 30th day of September 1963.

MOUNT ROSKILL BOROUGH COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

In the matter of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954 and the Public Works Act 1928.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Mount Roskill Borough Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, to execute a certain public work, namely, the widening of Halsey Drive in the Borough of Mount Roskill, and, for the purposes of such public work, the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken. Notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Town Clerk to the said Council situate in Mount Albert Road and is open for inspection, without fee, by all persons during ordinary office hours.

All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of such lands who have any well grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said lands must state their objections in writing at the office of the Council aforesaid on or before the 22nd day of November 1963.

SCHEDULE

ALL that piece of land containing 9·2 perches, more or less, and being part Lot 34, D.P. 8985, being part Allotment 22, Section 13, Suburbs of Auckland, situated in Halsey Drive at the end of Canberra Avenue.

POHANGINA COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

In the matter of the Public Works Act 1928.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Pohangina County Council proposes to take, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, for realignment of road, the lands mentioned in the Schedule hereto.

A plan showing the lands intended to be taken is open for inspection at the office of the County Council at Pohangina. All persons affected by the proposed taking are called on to set forth in writing any well grounded objections to the execution of such works or to the taking of such lands and to send such writing, within forty (40) days from the first publication of this notice, to the Pohangina County Council.
