MOUNT MAUNGANUI BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Water Supply Renewal Loan 1963, £48,000
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Mount Maunganui Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £48,000 authorised to be raised by the Mount Maunganui Borough Council under the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 for the purpose of renewing certain water supply loans, the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of ·541d. in the pound upon the rateable unimproved value of all rateable property in the Borough of Mount Maunganui; and that the special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan or until the loan is fully paid off.”
The foregoing resolution was passed at a meeting of the Mount Maunganui Borough Council held on the 15th day of October 1963.

HAWERA BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

The Hawera Water Improvements Loan 1963, £46,000
THE following resolution was passed at a duly constituted meeting of the Hawera Borough Council, held at the Council Chambers, High Street, Hawera, on the 10th day of October 1963.
Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Hawera Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £46,000 authorised to be raised by the Hawera Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of improving the water supply, constructing a reservoir, and installing filtration plant, chlorinator, and vacuum sweeper at the municipal swimming pool, the said Hawera Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of five thousand six hundred and forty-four ten thousandths (0·5644d.) of a penny in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Borough of Hawera, comprising the whole of the Borough of Hawera, (defined in Gazette, 1960, No. 4, at page 68); and that the special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being for a period of 20 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

RANGITIKEI COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Rural Housing Loan No. 2, 1963
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Rangitikei County Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £10,000 authorised to be raised by the Rangitikei County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of making advances to farmers in terms of the Rural Housing Act 1939, the Rangitikei County Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal point nought two four two three pence (0·02423d.) in the pound upon the unimproved value of all rateable property in the County of Rangitikei; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on 1 April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 25 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
The above resolution was passed at a meeting of the Rangitikei County Council held on the 10th day of October 1963.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Bulls Housing Loan 1963
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Rangitikei County Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £4,000 authorised to be raised by the Rangitikei County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of purchasing or erecting a house in Bulls for use by a Council employee and purchasing the land on which the house is erected or to be erected, the Rangitikei County Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal point seven six nought two seven pence (0·76027d.) in the pound upon the unimproved value of all rateable property in the Bulls Riding; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on 1 April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 15 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
The above resolution was passed at a meeting of the Rangitikei County Council held on the 10th day of October 1963.

Taumaihi Street Loan 1961
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Rangitikei County Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £480 (being portion of above loan) authorised to be raised by the Rangitikei County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the upgrading of Taumaihi Street, Bulls, the Rangitikei County Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal point nought eight seven one nine pence (0·08719d.) in the pound upon the unimproved value of all rateable property in the Bulls Riding; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on 1 April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 15 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
The above resolution was passed at a meeting of the Rangitikei County Council held on the 10th day of October 1963.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Masterton Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £21,300 authorised to be raised by the Masterton Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the erection of pensioners’ housing, the said Masterton Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of 0·09d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Borough of Masterton; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable on the 1st day of April and 1st day of September in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 25 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

TE AWAMUTU BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
———
THAT the Te Awamutu Borough Council hereby resolves:
(1) To borrow the sum of £15,000 from the Waikato Savings Bank for the Storm-water Loan 1963 at a rate of interest of 5⅜ per cent for 25 years.
(2) That the principal and interest of such loan shall be repaid by equal half-year aggregate instalments.
(3) That the payments of said principal and interest shall be secured to the lender by the issue of a single debenture which shall be sealed with the Common Seal of the Council and signed by the Mayor and the Town Clerk.
(4) That the Council doth hereby permanently appropriate and pledge sufficient of the special rate of 0·2d. in the pound as security for the payment of the said debenture.
(5) That copies of resolutions and documents relating to or relevant to the raising of this loan may from time to time be sealed with the Common Seal of the Council as evidence of the same and issued.
The Common Seal of the Te Awamutu Borough Council was hereto affixed at the office of and pursuant to a resolution of the Council in the presence of—
