WAIMAIRI COUNTY COUNCIL

SECURITY RATE

Harewood Riding Works Loan 1963

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Waimairi County Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £17,000 authorised to be raised by the Waimairi County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of constructing kerbing and channelling and footpaths and reconstructing and sealing roads in the Harewood Riding, the said Waimairi County Council hereby makes a special rate of 0·114668d. (pence) in the £ (pound) upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the special rating area comprising the whole of the Harewood Riding of the Waimairi County; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each year and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 10 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

WHANGAREI BOROUGH COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

In the matter of the Public Works Act 1963.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Whangarei Borough Council proposes to take, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, the land described in the Schedule hereto for street, and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land to be taken is deposited in the office of the Town Clerk to the said Council, situated in Bank Street, Whangarei, and is open for public inspection, without fee, by all persons during ordinary office hours.

All persons affected by the taking of the said land or who have any well grounded objections to the taking of the said land for street must state their objections in writing and send the same within forty (40) days from the first publication of this notice, to the Town Clerk at the Council Chambers, Municipal Building, Bank Street, Whangarei.

SCHEDULE

ALL that piece of land containing 7 perches, more or less, and being part of D.P. 11666 of part North Raumanga No. 2 Block, situated at the far end of Hospital Road.

MOUNT WELLINGTON BOROUGH COUNCIL

NOTICE OF PROPOSAL TO TAKE LAND FOR MUNICIPAL PURPOSES

PURSUANT to section 22 of the Public Works Act 1928, notice is hereby given that the Mount Wellington Borough Council proposes to take for municipal purposes all that piece of land containing one rood twenty-three point nine perches (1 rood 23·9 perches), more or less, being Lots 3 and 4, Deposited Plan 20487, Town of Panmure, Extension Number 32, and being portion of Allotment 69 of Section 2 of the Village of Panmure, and the residue of the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 474, folio 267, North Auckland Registry, which is shown coloured blue on S.O. Plan 44295. The said plan is available for public inspection at the Council Office, Queens Road, Panmure, between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4 p.m., Monday to Friday inclusive.

Any persons objecting to the proposal are called upon to lodge their objection in writing at the office of the Council aforesaid on or before the 11th day of November 1963.

WHAKATANE BOROUGH COUNCIL

TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953

Departure from Proposed District Scheme

PUBLIC notice is hereby given, pursuant to the provisions of the Town and Country Planning Act 1953 and its amendments and of the regulations made thereunder, that the Town and Country Planning Appeal Board, by order dated the 2nd day of September 1963, has consented to a specified departure from the Whakatane Borough Council’s proposed district scheme by permitting James Robert Johnston to establish a panelbeating premises as a conditional use in an area zoned as Industrial A, such a use to be carried out at 57 McAllister Street, Whakatane, but subject, however, to the following conditions:

  1. That the operations of the business be confined to the hours of 7 a.m. and 9 p.m. from Monday to Saturday inclusive.

  2. That off-street parking be provided and operated for all vehicles under repair or awaiting repairs.

PALMERSTON NORTH CITY COUNCIL

TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953

Variations to Parts of the Palmerston North District Scheme

PUBLIC notice is hereby given, pursuant to a resolution of the Council on the 23rd day of September 1963, that:

(1) The land zoned Residential B in Princess Street between Dahlia Street and Fergusson Street be rezoned Commercial B and,

(2) That the land zoned Residential in Main Street between the Industrial B Zone abutting Albert Street and the Commercial B Zone adjacent to Ruahine Street be rezoned Commercial B.

A plan of the variations to the district scheme as recommended by the Council has been deposited at:

The Municipal Library, Fitzherbert Avenue;
The Roslyn Library, Andrew Avenue;
The Hokowhitu Library, Ascot Street;
The Takaro Library, Botanical Road; and
Municipal Chambers, The Square.

Objections to the recommended variations of the district scheme zoned thereon may be made by way of written notice on Form E prescribed in the First Schedule to the Town and Country Planning Regulations 1960 or to the like effect marked “Objections to the District Scheme” and lodged at the office of the Council not later than noon on Thursday, the 14th day of November 1963.

At a later date every objection will be open for public inspection. Any person who wishes to support or oppose any objections will then be entitled to be heard at the hearing of objections if he notifies the Town Clerk in writing within a period of which public notice will be given.

EKETAHUNA COUNTY COUNCIL

TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953

Inviting Proposals for the Eketauna County District Scheme

PUBLIC notice is hereby given that the Eketauna County Council, at its meeting held on the 9th day of August 1963, has resolved to prepare for the Eketauna County a district scheme as required by the provisions of the Town and Country Planning Act 1953.

Every person concerned and every local authority in the district as defined by section 2 of the Act is hereby invited to submit full information as to the proposals (including public works) which, in his or its opinion, should be considered in the preparation of the scheme.

Proposals marked “Eketauna County District Scheme” should be addressed to the County Clerk and delivered at the County Clerk’s office on or before the 28th day of February 1964.

HASTINGS CITY COUNCIL

TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953

Proposed Change in Hastings District Scheme Approved

PURSUANT to the Town and Country Planning Regulations 1960, public notice is hereby given that the proposed change in the district scheme under the Town and Country Planning Act 1953 for Hastings, relating to the rezoning of Lot Number Four (4) on Deposited Plan Number 10099 situate in Warwick Road, Hastings, from “Residential” to “Commercial A” to enable shops to be erected on the said lot, was approved by the Council by resolution passed at its meeting held on the 26th day of September 1963 after all objections, appeals, and arbitrations relating to the scheme had been disposed of and the proposed change in the scheme did not have to be amended following the disposal of all objections, appeals, and arbitrations relating thereto and no amendments of the proposed change in the district scheme were required by the Board.
