HASTINGS CITY COUNCIL

TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953

Proposed Change in Hastings District Scheme Approved
PURSUANT to the Town and Country Planning Regulations
1960, public notice is hereby given that the proposed change
in the district scheme, under the Town and Country Planning
Act 1953, for Hastings, relating to the imposing of a building-
line restriction of forty-three (43) ft from the centre line
of Heretaunga Street from the west side of Nelson Street
to Maraekakaho Road, which provides for the widening of
that portion of Heretaunga Street by ten (10) ft on both
sides, was approved by the Council by resolution passed at
its meeting held on the 26th day of September 1963 after all
objections, appeals, and arbitrations relating to the scheme
had been disposed of and the proposed change in the scheme
did not have to be amended following the disposal of all
objections, appeals, and arbitrations relating thereto and no
amendments of the proposed change in the district scheme
were required by the Board.
The Council has also resolved that the proposed change in

NOTICE OF PRIVATE BILL

ST. MARY’S CHURCH (KARORI) BURIAL GROUND ACT 1963

NOTICE is hereby given that the Wellington Diocesan Board
of Trustees proposes to apply for leave to bring into the
General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled
during its present session a Private Bill the objects of which
are to close the burial ground in the property of St. Mary’s
Church (Karori), to authorise extensions to that church
across parts of the burial ground, the reinterment of remains
in any graves thereby affected, the removal of headstones,
monuments, and grave surrounds in the burial ground, the
erecti on of a common memorial containing the names and
dates of death of all persons buried in the burial ground,
and the laying out of the area in drives, pathways, lawns,
and gardens with ornamental trees and shrubs.
The promoter of this Private Bill is the Wellington Diocesan
Board of Trustees.
Communications or notices to the promoter may be sent
to and a copy of the Bill may be inspected at the Diocesan
Office, 18 Eccleston Hill, Wellington N. 1.

TELFORD FARM TRAINING INSTITUTE BILL

NOTICE is hereby given that Thomas McCristell, of Balclutha,
farm er, the chairman of the Telford Farm Training Institute
Committee, intends to apply to bring in a Bill intituled as
above, the objects of which are to incorporate the Telford
Farm Training Institute, and to declare the purposes of the
said institute, and to vest in the said institute certain
assets owned by Jane Telford, of Otonomomo, spinster, and
the trustees of the wills dated respectively the 16th day of
December 1946 and the 18th day of August 1947 of William
Telford, of Otonomomo, farmer, deceased, and Doris
Emmerson Telford, of Otonomomo, spinster, deceased, as
tenants in common in equal shares, and to vary the trusts
of the said wills and to provide for various incidental
matters.
The Bill affects certain land known as the Otonomomo Estate
situate in Blocks XII, XVII, XX, XXI, XXVI, XXVII, and
XXXI, Clutha District, containing 1,616 acres and 16·4
poles, more or less, being all the land in certificate of title,
Volume 119, folio 147, Volume 156, folio 135, Volume 197,
folio 208, Volume 347, folio 56, Volume 383, folios 121 and
122, Volume 400, folio 236 (Otago Lands Registry), and an
undivided moiety of part Section 1, Block XXVII, Clutha
District, containing 26 acres 1 rood, being the balance
of the land in certificate of title, Volume 61, folio 94 (Otago
Lands Registry).
The promoter of the said Bill is the said Thomas McCristell
and his address, to which communications or notices to him
as promoter may be sent, is care of Messrs Cook, Allan, and
Cook, Solicitors, 29 Crawford Street, Dunedin.
A copy of the said Bill may be inspected at the offices
of Messrs Cook, Allan, and Cook, 29 Crawford Street,

Zealand Gazette, but are supplied under any one or more of
