3 OCTOBER
(1·880d.) in the pound (£) on the rateable value (on the
basis of the annual value) of all rateable property in the
City of Lower Hutt; and that such special rate shall be
an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan
and be incorporated and added to the consolidated special
rate made pursuant to the provisions of section 108A of the
Municipal Corporations Act 1954, and be payable yearly on
or about the 1st day of August in each and every year
during the currency of such loan, being a period of three
years, or until such time as the loan is paid off.
I hereby certify that the above resolution was duly passed
at the meeting of the Lower Hutt City Council held on the
17th day of September 1963.

WAITEMATA ELECTRIC POWER BOARD
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Waitemata Electric Power Board Reticulation Extension and
Reinforcement Loan (1963), £420,000
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Electric Power Boards Act 1925, the Local
Authorities Loans Act 1956, and amendments and regulations
made thereunder respectively and all other powers it enabling,
the Board hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing half-yearly instalments
of interest and yearly instalments of principal and other
charges on a loan of £420,000 authorised to be raised by the
Waitemata Electric Power Board under the above-mentioned
enactments in order to provide additional moneys for the
purpose of extending and reinforcing the supply of electricity
within the whole of the Waitemata Electric Power District,
the Waitemata Electric Power Board hereby makes and
levies a special rate of 88/1000 of a 1d. in the pound upon
the rateable value (being the capital value) of all the rate-
able property within the whole of the Waitemata Electric
Power District as defined in the Proclamation appearing in
the Gazette dated 18 October 1923 and amended by Procla-
mations appearing in the Gazettes dated 27 November 1924,
26 August 1926, 7 March 1929, 24 January 1935, 14 April
1954, and by section 44 of the Local Legislation Act 1961;
and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring
rate during the currency of such loan, and shall be payable
yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year
during the currency of such loan, being a period of 15 years,
or until the loan is fully paid off.”
I hereby certify that the above resolution was carried at
a meeting of the Waitemata Electric Power Board held on
the 20th day of September 1963.

RAGLAN COUNTY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Raglan Footbridge Loan 1963, £7,000
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Raglan County Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges
on a loan of £7,000 authorised to be raised by the Raglan
County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the
purpose of providing for the renewal of the Kopua foot-
bridge at Raglan, the said Raglan County Council hereby
makes a special rate of decimal nought nought three of a
penny (.003d.) in the pound (£) on the unimproved rateable
value of all rateable property in the County of Raglan; and
that the said special rate shall be an annually recurring rate
during the currency of such loan and be paid yearly on the
1st day of September in each and every year during the
currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five (25)
years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
I hereby certify that the above resolution was passed at a
meeting of the Raglan County Council held on 23 September
1963.

AUCKLAND CITY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it
in that behalf by the Municipal Corporations Act 1954 and
amendments, the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and
amendments, and regulations thereunder, and of all other
powers thereunto enabling it, the Auckland City Council
hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing interest and other
charges on a loan of eighty-one thousand pounds (£81,000) to
be known as the Municipal Abattoir Loan 1963, £81,000,
which amount is proposed to be raised by the Auckland City
Council under the above-mentioned Acts for the purpose of
erecting new amenity and chiller blocks at the Auckland
Municipal abattoir and the cost of raising the loan, the said
Auckland City Council hereby makes and levies a special
rate of three twenty-fifths of one penny (3/25ths of 1d.)
in the pound (£) on the rateable value (on the basis of the
annual value) of all rateable property of Auckland City,
comprising the whole of the City of Auckland; and that the
said special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the
currency of such loan, and shall be payable yearly on the
1st day of June in each and every year during the currency
of the said loan, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it
in that behalf by the Municipal Corporations Act 1954 and
amendments, the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and
amendments, and regulations thereunder, and of all other
powers thereunto enabling it, the Auckland City Council
hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing interest and other
charges on a loan of one hundred and seventy-four thousand
pounds (£174,000) to be known as the Drainage Loan 1963,
£174,000, which amount is proposed to be raised by the
Auckland City Council under the above-mentioned Acts for
the purpose of building sanitary sewer reticulation together
with the necessary pumping stations, equipment, rising mains,
and sewers, and costs incidental thereto, and the cost of
raising the loan, the said Auckland City Council hereby makes
and levies a special rate of one quarter of one penny (¼ of
1d.) in the pound (£) on the rateable value (on the basis
of the annual value) of all rateable property of Auckland City,
comprising the whole of the City of Auckland; and that the
said special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the
currency of such loan, and shall be payable yearly on the
1st day of June in each and every year during the currency
of the said loan or until the loan is fully paid off.”

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Renewal Loan No. 1, 1963, of £399,700
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Dunedin City Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on
a loan of £399,700 authorised to be raised by the Dunedin
City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose
of repaying on maturity those portions of the Transport and
Streets Reconstruction Loan, 1946, £858,000, the Water Supply
Loan, 1951, £535,000, the Electricity Loan, 1951, £400,000, the
Electric Power Loan, 1953, £450,000, and the Public Works
Loan, 1953, £300,000, which mature on 1 April 1963, the said
Dunedin City Council hereby makes a special rate of 0·594d.
in the pound (£) upon the rateable value of all rateable pro-
perty of the City of Dunedin, comprising the whole of the
City of Dunedin; and that the special rate shall be an annual-
recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and be payable
yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during
the currency of the loan, being a period of ten (10) years,
or until the loan is fully paid off.”
I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy
of the resolution passed by the Dunedin City Council on
Monday, 23 September 1963.
