UTILISATION OF WATER AND LOCATION OF HEADWORKS
- Water shall be used under this licence solely for the purpose of generating electricity and shall be taken from the said stream at a point in State Forest Block 29, Block 2, Dart Survey District, indicated on the plan marked N.Z.E.D. 587 deposited in the office of the New Zealand Electricity Department at Wellington.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF WORKS
- The licensee is hereby authorised, subject to the conditions hereof, to construct, maintain, and use the following works for the purpose of this licence, the positions of the said works being indicated on the said plan N.Z.E.D. 587.
(a) Headworks consisting of a weir and intake with a head race and pipeline leading to the powerhouse hereinafter referred to, giving a static head of approximately 230 ft.
(b) Powerhouse with all necessary equipment for generating electricity situated in State Forest Block 29, Block 2, Dart Survey District.
(c) Tail race leading from the said powerhouse to the right hand branch of the said stream.
(d) Electric lines leading from the said powerhouse in a westerly direction beyond the confines of State Forest Block 29 to Section 12 and thence in a southerly direction through sections 12, 11, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, to a dwelling to be situated on Section 5, all situated in Block 2, Dart Survey District, County of Lake.
SYSTEM OF SUPPLY
- The system of supply shall be as described in paragraph (e) of regulation 21-01 of the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935 and shall be an alternating current system at a normal rated pressure of 3,300 volts.
DURATION OF LICENCE
- Unless sooner lawfully determined this licence shall continue in force until the 31st day of March 1984.
RENTAL
- For the purpose of assessing the rental or annual sum payable in respect of this licence, the present plant is rated at 7½ kilowatts.
NO RIGHT TO WATER CONFERRED
- Nothing in this licence shall of itself confer upon the licensee any right to water.

Revoking a Licence Authorising Owen Collieries Ltd. to Erect and Use Certain Electric Lines in the County of Murchison

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council and the consent of the licensee, hereby revokes the Order in Council, dated the 18th day of April 1956 and published in the Gazette on the 19th day of the same month at page 525, authorising Owen Collieries Ltd., a duly incorporated company having its registered office at Nelson, to erect and use certain electric lines.

Amending a Licence Authorising the Auckland Transport Board to Erect and Use Certain Electric Lines in the City of Auckland and the Borough of Mount Roskill (Mount Roskill and Sandringham Routes—Lynfield and New Windsor Extensions)

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, and with the consent of the licensee hereby further amends, as set forth in the Schedule hereto, the Order in Council dated the 9th day of November 1954 and published in the Gazette on the 18th day of the same month at page 1796, as amended by Orders in Council
dated the 30th day of September 1959 and the 20th day of September 1961 and published in the Gazette on the 1st day of October 1959 and 21 September 1961 at pages 1381 and 1448 respectively, authorising the Auckland Transport Board to erect and use certain electric lines in the City of Auckland and the Boroughs of Mount Eden and Mount Roskill.
SCHEDULE
The following new paragraphs are added at the end of the Schedule thereto.
(6) Mount Roskill and Sandringham Routes, Lynfield, and New Windsor Extensions.
“(1) Lines for two-way traffic commencing at the existing trolley bus overhead wiring at the intersection of Stoddard Road with Richardson Road, and proceeding in a southerly direction along Richardson Road to its intersection with Maioro Street thence along Maioro Street to its intersection with New Windsor Road and thence in a north westerly direction along New Windsor Road to its intersection with Dickey Street.
“(2) Lines for two-way traffic commencing at the existing terminal turning-circle at the intersection of Ridge Road and Cape Horn Road thence in a westerly direction along Ridge Road to its intersection with The Avenue, thence in a southerly direction along The Avenue to its intersection with Halsey Drive.”
The aforesaid lines being more particularly delineated by means of red lines on the plan marked N.Z.E.D. 607 and deposited in the office of the New Zealand Electricity Department in Wellington.
