RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
———
Staff Housing Loan 1963, £3,700

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Featherston Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charge on the loan of £3,700 to be known as the Staff Housing Loan 1963, authorised to be raised by the Featherston Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of purchasing a section of land with dwelling thereon for staff housing purposes, the said Featherston Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal point seven pence (0·7d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Borough of Featherston; and that the said special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the said loan and be payable yearly, by instalments, on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the said loan, being a period of 10 years, or until such loan is fully paid off.”

HELENSVILLE BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Helensville Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £12,000, authorised to be raised by the Helensville Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of improving the borough water supply, the said Helensville Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of fifteen sixty-fourths pence (15/64d.) in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Borough of Helensville comprising the whole of the Borough of Helensville; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 25 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Temuka Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £52,800, authorised to be raised by the Temuka Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of installing water mains, the Temuka Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of six and thirty-five hundredths of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all the rateable property within the Borough of Temuka; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly, each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 30 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

CENTRAL CANTERBURY ELECTRIC POWER BOARD

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Central Canterbury Electric Power Board hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £13,000 to be known as ‘No. 10 Redemption Loan 1963’ authorised to be raised by the Central Canterbury Electric Power Board under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of repaying on maturity that portion of the No. 10 Reticulation Loan 1953 raised by the Springs-Ellesmere Electric Power Board which matures on the 1st day of November 1963, the said Central Canterbury Electric Power Board hereby makes a special rate of one twentieth (1/20th) of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property of the Central Canterbury Electric Power District, comprising the whole of the Counties of Ellesmere, Paparua, Akaroa, Wairewa, and Mt. Herbert, part of the Borough of Lyttelton, and parts of the Selwyn, Halswell, Malvern, and Heathcote Counties; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the said loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of November in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 10 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

We hereby certify that the above is a true copy of and a correct extract from the minutes of proceedings of the Central Canterbury Electric Power Board at the meeting written above.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

In the matter of the Public Works Act 1928 and its amendments and in the matter of the Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Act 1941 and its amendments.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Otago Catchment Board intends to take, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928 and the Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Act 1941, that parcel of land described in the Schedule hereto for the purpose of a quarry to be used in connection with river protection works and other incidental works.

The plan of the said land is deposited at the South Division Office of the Otago Catchment Board, Hasborough Place, Balclutha and is there open for inspection by all persons during ordinary office hours.

All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said land are hereby required and called upon to set forth in writing any well grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or the taking of the said land and send such in writing within forty (40) days from the first publication of this notice to the Secretary, Otago Catchment Board, 725 George Street, Dunedin.

PART Section 29A, Barnego Settlement, Block II, Hillend Survey District, comprised in certificate of title, Volume 123, folio 108, containing 6 acres 2 roods 16 perches, as shown edged in red on S.O. Plan 2101.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO STOP A ROAD

In the matter of the Public Works Act 1928.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Coromandel County Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Act, to stop the portion of road containing 12 acres 1 rood 28 perches, more or less, adjoining or passing through part Section 1 and Section 3, Block X, Coromandel S.D., and Te Awakanae Block, situated in Block X, Coromandel S.D., as shown on S.O. Plan 42296, and coloured green on the said plan.

Notice is hereby further given that a copy of the said plan is deposited in the public office of the Clerk to the said Council situated at the Council Chambers, Kapanga Road, Coromandel, and is open for inspection without fee by all persons during office hours.

All persons affected by the stopping of the said portion of road who have any well grounded objections to the stopping of the said portion of road must state their objections in writing and lodge the same at the office of the County Council, Kapanga Road, Coromandel, on or before the 6th day of November 1963.
