NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

In the matter of the Public Works Act 1928 and its amendments and in the matter of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Manurewa Borough Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, to execute certain public works, namely, the laying out of a new street off Grand Vue Road in the Borough of Manurewa, over (inter alia) Lot 4, Deposited Plan 41937, Borough of Manurewa, and for the purpose of such public works the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken.

All persons affected by the execution of the said public works or by the taking of the said land must state their objections in writing and send the same, within forty (40) days of the first publication of this notice, to the Town Clerk at the Council Chambers, Hall Road, Manurewa.

SCHEDULE

ALL that piece of land situated in the Borough of Manurewa containing 1 rood 35·8 perches, more or less, being Lot 4, Deposited Plan 41937, and being all the land comprised in certificate of title, Volume 1592, folio 77, North Auckland Registry, subject to agreements as to fencing contained in transfers 406196 and 610798 and to restrictive covenant contained in transfer 610798.

PUBLIC notice is hereby given that the Tauranga County Council proposes, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to take for road the portion of land described in the Schedule hereto. A plan showing the portion of land proposed to be taken is available for public inspection at the office of the Tauranga County Council, Barkes Corner, Cameron Road, Tauranga, during 40 days from the date of the first publication of this notice. All persons affected by the taking of the land and having well grounded objections thereto are hereby called upon to set forth their objections in writing and send the same to the office of the Tauranga County Council on or before the 3rd day of October 1963.

Notice is hereby given that the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Horowhenua require to take the lands described in the Schedule hereto. The lands are required for the purpose of a public work, namely, for a road.

Notice is hereby given that a plan of the said lands is open for inspection at the offices of the Horowhenua County Council, Bath Street, Levin.

PATEA COUNTY COUNCIL

SPECIAL ORDER—RURAL HOUSING LOAN 1963

The following resolution moved by Councillors Muggeridge and Watt:

“1. That the Council raise, from the State Advances Corporation of New Zealand, a loan of £10,000, or so much thereof as may be required for the purpose of making advances to farmers for the erection of dwellings under the Rural Housing Act 1939, such loan to be called ‘The Rural Housing Loan 1963, £10,000’.

“2. That the Council repay half-yearly, in reduction of the loan, an amount equal to the sum of all amounts which are expressed to be payable to the Council during the half-year ending on each half-yearly date by the agreements entered into with the Council by the various farmers to whom the moneys are to be advanced.

“3. That interest at the rate of 4½ per cent on unpaid principal be paid by the Council, calculated on the daily debtor balance of the Council in the accounts of the lender.

“4. That the security for the charges in respect of such loan shall be special rate of decimal 0·025d. in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in the County of Patea.”
