HAWKE'S BAY ELECTRIC POWER BOARD

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Hawke's Bay Electric Power Board hereby resolves as follows:
"That, for the purposes of providing the annual charges on a loan of two hundred and fifty thousand pounds (£250,000) authorised to be raised by the Hawke's Bay Electric Power Board under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of further reticulating the Board’s district (excluding the Borough of Napier as constituted on the 6th day of July 1925) and increasing the capacity of existing lines, the said Hawke’s Bay Electric Power Board hereby make a special rate of seventeen-two hundredths (17/200ths) of a penny (d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property within the constituent districts of the County of Hawke’s Bay, the Boroughs of Havelock North and Taradale, the City of Hastings, and within that portion of the City of Napier as at present constituted which on the 6th day of July 1925 was included in the County of Hawke’s Bay; and that the special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 31st day of March in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of twelve (12) years, or until the loan is fully paid off."

HOKIO DRAINAGE SCHEME LOAN POLL, £3,200

Notice of Result of Poll on Loan Proposal

Pursuant to section 38 of the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, notice is hereby given that a poll of ratepayers of the Hokio Drainage Scheme Classified Area taken on the 9th day of September 1963, on the proposal of the Manawatu Catchment Board to borrow the sum of £3,200 for the purpose of providing the Board’s share of the cost of carrying out the proposed Hokio Drainage Scheme;

The number of votes recorded for the proposal was nine.
The number of votes recorded against the proposal was 18.

I therefore declare that the proposal was rejected.

WAITEMATA COUNTY COUNCIL

PUBLIC NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND FOR ROAD

In the matter of the Public Works Act 1928 and amendments and Counties Act 1956 and amendments.

Notice is hereby given that the Waitemata County Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, to execute a certain work, namely, the construction and formation of a road passing through or adjoining the parcels of land referred to in the Schedule hereunder and situated in Waitakere Riding of the County of Waitemata and for the purposes of such public work the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken; and notice is hereby further given that plans of the lands so required to be taken are deposited in the Public Office of the Clerk of the said Council situated in the Council Chambers, 199 Karangahape Road, Auckland, and are open for inspection (without fee) by all persons during ordinary office hours.

All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said lands who have any well grounded objections to the proposal and wishing them to be considered must state their objections in writing and send the same, within forty (40) days from the first publication of this notice, to the County Clerk at the Council Chambers.

CLIFTON COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND AND OF PROPOSED STOPPING OF ROAD

Notice is hereby given that the Clifton County Council proposes, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to execute a certain public work, to wit, the construction of a road through part Section 19, Tikorangi District, and for the purpose of such public work proposes to take 1 acre and 25·7 perches, being part Section 19, Tikorangi District Block V, Waitara S.D.

And notice is given that the Council proposes, under the provisions of the said Act, to close part of Bertrand Road. A plan of the land required to be taken and of the part of road proposed to be closed is deposited for public inspection at the office of the said Clifton County Council in Domett Street, Waitara. The area required to be taken for road is coloured thereon orange and the part of road proposed to be closed is coloured thereon green. All persons affected by the proposed taking are hereby called upon to set forth in writing any well grounded objections to the taking of the said land and to send such writing within 40 days of the date of the first publication of this notice, namely the 14th day of September 1963, to the Clifton County Council at its office aforesaid, and all persons objecting to the proposed closing of road are likewise called upon to lodge their objections in writing at the said office on or before the 24th day of October 1963.

HAWERA COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND FOR ROAD AND TO STOP ROAD

In the matter of the Counties Act 1956 and the Public Works Act 1928.

Notice is hereby given that the Hawera County Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, to execute by way of special order the taking of land and the stopping of road on the Matangara Road in order to improve alignment and for the purpose of such public works the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken and stopped; and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the lands so required to be taken and stopped is deposited in Princes Street, Hawera, and is open for inspection without fee by all persons during ordinary office hours.

All persons affected by the execution of the said public works or by the taking of such lands and stopping of such road who have any well grounded objections to the execution of the said public works, or to the taking of the said lands, or the stopping of the said road must state their objections in writing and send the same within 40 days from the first publication of this notice to the County Clerk at the Council Chambers, Princes Street, Hawera.

The above special order will be confirmed at an ordinary meeting of the Council to be held in the Council Chambers, Hawera, on 14 November 1963, at 10 a.m.
