Declaring Land in the Marlborough Land District Vested in the Wellington Education Board as Sites for Public Schools To be Vested in Her Majesty the Queen

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to subsection (6) of section 5 of the Education Lands Act 1949, I, Brigadier Sir Bernard Edward Fergusson the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto, being areas vested in the Wellington Education Board as sites for public schools, shall be vested in Her Majesty the Queen, freed and discharged from every educational trust affecting the same, but subject to all leases, encumbrances, liens, or easements affecting the same at the date hereof.

MARLBOROUGH LAND DISTRICT
SECTION 10, Block IV, Tennyson Survey District: Area, 1 acre, more or less. S.O. Plan 1138A.
Also Section 47, Block I, Wakamarina Survey District: Area, 7 acres, more or less. S.O. Plan 843.

PURSUANT to section 128 of the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby approves the resolution passed by the Christchurch City Council on the 15th day of July 1963, and set out in the First Schedule hereto, in so far as it affects the side of portion of street described in the Second Schedule hereto.
FIRST SCHEDULE
CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT
THE Christchurch City Council being the local authority having control of the streets in the City of Christchurch, by resolution declares that the provisions of section 128 of the Public Works Act 1928, shall not apply to the south side of the portion of Balfour Terrace adjoining parts of Section 93, Town of Christchurch, being part of the land in certificates of title, Volume 368, folio 270, and Volume 153, folio 126, Canterbury Registry.
SECOND SCHEDULE
CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT
THE Southern side of that portion of street situated in the City of Christchurch, known as Balfour Terrace, fronting part Town Reserve 93 and part Lot 1, D.P. 15627, being other part Town Reserve 93; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked M.O.W. 8391 deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

PURSUANT to section 439 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby sets apart the Maori freehold lands described in the Schedule hereto as Maori reservations for the purposes as set out, for the common use and benefit of the members of the Ngatiipeehi sub-tribe of the Ngati Maniapoto tribe.
