BOUNDARIES OF THE MANAWATU RABBIT DISTRICT

ALL that area in the Wellington Land District, Counties of Manawatu, Horowhenua, Kairanga, and Hutt, Boroughs of Foxton, Shannon, Otaki, and Levin, City of Palmerston North, containing 681,750 acres, more or less, bounded by a line commencing at a point on the seacoast in line with the northern boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 11960 in Block III, Paekakariki Survey District, and proceeding easterly to and along that boundary to the easternmost corner of the said Lot 1; thence north-easterly generally along right lines to Trig. Station Wainui, to Trig. Station C. (Titi), in Block V, Akatarawa Survey District, to Trig. Station, Maunganui, to Trig. Station Saddle, to the north-eastern corner of Ngarara West C 18, Section 1, in Block III, Akatarawa Survey District, and along the western boundary of Section 8, Block III, Akatarawa Survey District, to the northernmost corner of the said Section 8; thence easterly along the northern boundary of that section and its production to and along the northern boundary of Section 10, Block IV, Akatarawa Survey District, and along a right line to Trig. Station Mount Hector; thence north-easterly generally along the summit of the Tararua Range to Mount Dundas in Block XII, Waiopehu Survey District, and along right lines to Trig. Station Arawaru, to Trig. Station Marima, to the north-western corner of Section 9, Block IX, Mangahao Survey District, along the north-western boundaries of Section 4, Block V, and Sections 3, 2, and 1, Block VI, Mangahao Survey District, the south-western boundary of section 13, Block XIX, Mangahao Survey District, the eastern side of Range Road South to the Palmerston North—Pahiatua Road, along a right line to and along the eastern side of Range Road North and the road forming the north-western boundaries of Sections 2, 10, and the said Section 2, Block II, Mangahao Survey District, to and along the south-western boundary of Subdivision 3 of Section 26, Block II, Mangahao Survey District, the eastern side of the said Range Road North to and along the southern side of Cross Road to a point in line with the western boundary of Section 1, Block I, Mangahao Survey District, to and along that boundary and its production to the middle of the Manawatu River; thence westerly down the middle of that river to a point in line with the north-western boundary of Section 406, Town of Fitzherbert, in Block III, Gorge Survey District; thence south-westerly generally to and along that boundary, the south-western and north-western boundaries of the said Section 406, the north-western boundaries of Lots 1 and 12, D.P. 2676, and the production of the last mentioned boundary to and along the north-western boundaries of Lots 17 and 16, D.P. 2676, along a right line to and along the north-western boundary of Lot 16, D.P. 4945, and its production to and along the north-western boundary of Lot 14, D.P. 4945, to the middle line of a public road forming the south-western boundary of Lot 13 and the north-eastern boundary of Lot 12, D.P. 4945; thence north-westerly along that line and its production to the southern boundary of Section 452, Town of Palmerston North in Block VIII, Kairanga Survey District; thence westerly generally along that boundary, the southern boundary of Section 451, Town of Palmerston North, the northern boundary of Lot 7, D.P. 2157, along a right line to and along the north-western boundary of Lot 3, D.P. 22182, to the north-eastern boundary of Section 1626, Town of Palmerston North; thence north-westerly along that boundary and the north-eastern boundaries of Section 411, Town of Palmerston North, along a right line to and along the north-eastern boundary of Lot A, D.P. 210, along a right line to and along the north-eastern boundaries of Lots 35, 34, 33, 32, 31, and 30 of Section 412, Town of Palmerston North and the production of the last mentioned boundary to the middle of Kelvin Grove Road; thence south-westerly along the middle of that road to the middle of Stoney Creek Road; thence north-westerly along the middle line of that road and its production to and along the north-eastern boundary of the North Island Main Trunk Railway to the southern side of South Street, Borough of Feilding; thence westerly generally along the said side and the eastern side of Awahuri Road to a point in line with the southern side of Haggitt Street, to and along that side to the eastern side of Windsor Terrace; thence northerly generally along that side and its production to and along the northern side of Glasgow Terrace to a point in line with the eastern boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 2289, to and along that boundary and the western side of Tiritoa Terrace, to and along the southern boundary of Lot 2, D.P. 5081, the western boundaries of that lot and Lots 3 and 1, D.P. 1672 and the production of the last mentioned boundary to and along the northern side of Ranfurly Road to and along the eastern boundary of Lot 25, D.P. 999, to a point 329 links from the north-eastern corner of that lot, along right lines bearing 314° 12', distance 112 links, bearing 351° 04', distance 292·8 links, to a point on the northern boundary of the said Lot 25, along a right line to and along the eastern boundary of Lot 22, D.P. 999, to and along the southern side of Sandon Road to a point in line with the eastern boundary of Lot 14, D.P. 1235, to and along that boundary and the eastern boundaries of Lots 1 and 2, D.P. 5548, and the production of the last mentioned boundary to the middle of Highfield Road; thence westerly generally along the middle of that road, the southern boundaries of Lot 3, D.P. 11842, and Lot 23, D.P. 1235, the eastern boundary of Section 128, Town of Sandon, to and along the northern boundaries of that section and Sections 127 and 123, the eastern, northern, and western boundaries of Section 122, Town of Sandon, and the northern boundary of Section 117, Town of Sandon, and its production to the middle of Te Rakehou Road; thence northerly along the middle of that road to and up the middle of the Mangaone Stream, to the northern boundary of Section 112, Town of Sandon, in Block IX, Oroua Survey District; thence westerly generally along that boundary and the northern boundaries of Lot 1, D.P. 19996, the said Section 112, Lot 1, D.P. 20193, and Section 111, Town of Sandon, and its production to and along the northern boundaries of Lot 1, D.P. 3438, Lot 1, D.P. 9747, and the north-eastern boundary of Section 99, Town of Sandon, and its production to and along the western side of Kakariki Road, to and along the north-eastern boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 19528, and its production to the middle of the Rangitikei River; thence southerly generally down the middle of that river and along the sea coast to the point of commencement.

The Electoral Main Rolls Closing Order 1963

PURSUANT to the Electoral Act 1956, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.


ORDER

  1. This order may be cited as the Electoral Main Rolls Closing Order 1963.
  2. The date for the closing of the main roll in every European and Maori electoral district for the year 1963 under section 61 of the Electoral Act 1956, shall be Wednesday, the 7th day of August 1963.

Napier City Council Declared a Leasing Authority Under the Public Bodies' Leases Act 1908

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to the Public Bodies’ Leases Act 1908, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.


ORDER

  1. The Napier City Council is hereby declared to be a leasing authority within the meaning of the Public Bodies’ Leases Act 1908.
  2. The Order in Council made on the 6th day of March 1895, pursuant to the Public Bodies’ Powers Act 1887, and published in Gazette, 21 March 1895, No. 21, page 524, is hereby revoked.
