RESOLUTION STRIKING SPECIAL RATE
——
Plimmerton Fire Engine Loan 1963, £6,000
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Hutt County Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £6,000 authorised to be raised by the Hutt County Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of purchasing a fire engine, equipped with the necessary fire-fighting plant, the said Hutt County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 0·136 pence (one hundred and thirty-six one-thousandths of one penny) in the pound upon the unimproved value of all rateable property in the Taupo Riding of the County of Hutt; and that the special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of April and the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 12 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Hutt County Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £6,000 authorised to be raised by the Hutt County Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of purchasing a fire engine, equipped with the necessary fire-fighting plant, the said Hutt County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 0·466 pence (four hundred and sixty-six one-thousandths of one penny) in the pound upon the unimproved value of all rateable property in the Paekakariki Riding of the County of Hutt; and that the special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of April and the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 12 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

WHANGAREI BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
——
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Whangarei Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of thirty-four thousand pounds (£34,000) authorised to be raised by the Whangarei Borough Council for the purpose of purchasing land for a proposed civic centre site the said Whangarei Borough Council hereby makes a special rate, 0·194d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Borough of Whangarei; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of September in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being for a period of 10 years or until the loan is fully paid off.”

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND UNDER THE PUBLIC WORKS ACT 1928
——
NOTICE is hereby given that the Whangarei Borough Council proposes under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to execute certain public work, namely the construction of a water supply reservoir on the land situated in the Borough of Whangarei and for the purpose of such public work the land described in the First Schedule hereto is required to be taken; And in connection with the proposed construction of a water supply reservoir on the land described in the First Schedule hereto and to give access thereto it is necessary for the Council to construct and form a street and for this purpose the Whangarei Borough Council proposes to take under the provisions of the said Public Works Act 1928, the land described in the Second Schedule hereto.
Notice is further given that in connection with the aforesaid public work Council also proposes to take for use, convenience, and enjoyment, of a street and for the purpose of a water pipe-line easement the lands described in the Third and Fourth Schedules respectively.
A plan of the land so required to be taken in the public office of the Town Clerk to the said Council situated in Bank Street, Whangarei, and is open for public inspection without fee, by all persons during office hours. All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of such land who have any well grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said land must state their objections in writing and send the same within forty (40) days from the first publication of this notice to the Town Clerk at the Council Chambers, Municipal Building, Bank Street, Whangarei.

ALL that piece of land containing 1 rood 24·5 perches, more or less, described as part Hora Hora No. 2 Block, situated in Block XII, Purua Survey District, and being part of the land described in certificate of title, Volume 333, folio 190, Auckland Registry. The land is more particularly delineated on S.O. Plan No. 44107, and thereon coloured yellow.

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Alexandra Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £5,500 authorised to be raised by the Alexandra Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of purchasing and renovating a dwelling, the Alexandra Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of 0·175 pence in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Borough of Alexandra; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 25 years or until the loan is fully paid off.”
I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of the resolution passed by the Alexandra Borough Council on the 25th day of June 1963.
